JD90+90–92 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 8/16/2019 The 2018 Cairanne is another winner from the talented Romain Roche that should snatched up by savvy readers. Beautiful cassis and black raspberry fruits, notes of crushed flowers and violets, medium to full body, and a ripe, sexy texture all make for a quintessential Cairanne that’s going to provide tons of pleasure over the coming 5–7 years.RP9090 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 31st Mar 2021 The raspberry and garrigue-scented 2018 Cairanne is an early-drinking charmer. Loaded with red berries, but with enough savory, herbal complexities on the long, softly dusty finish to keep it interesting, this medium to full-bodied effort may be drunk with pleasure over the next 4–5 years. (Joe Czerwinski)WE8989 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 5/1/2021 Hints of smoke, caramel and crushed stone accent plum and blackberry flavors in this wine. Made from 70% Grenache augmented by 25% Syrah and 5% Carignan, it’s an opulent, easy-drinking red with a fresh, mineral finish. Best enjoyed now–2025. (Anna Lee C. Iijima)
VN9090 pts. - Vinous - Jul 2022 The 2019 Chianti Riserva Alteo is juicy, delicious and very easy to like. Dark red cherry, spice, tobacco and dried leaves are nicely pushed forward in this open-knit, supple Chianti Riserva from Donna Laura. (Antonio Galloni)JS9090 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Monday, July 4, 2022 A fresh and juicy red with cherry and orange-peel aromas and flavors. Medium body. Creamy texture. Bright finish.
JS9191 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Monday, January 3, 2022 Pretty nose of lemons, sliced pears, white peaches, melon and apple blossom. It’s medium-bodied with a creamy, fruity and fresh palate. Gently off-dry. Drink now. Screw cap.SP8888 pts. - Wine Spectator - Dec 31, 2022 Lithe and delicate, with pretty kiwi, melon and grapefruit flavors that finish with a snap. Riesling, Pinot Gris, Sémillon, Muscat, Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer and Sauvignon Blanc. Drink now. 20,000 cases made. (Tim Fish)
JS9292 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Wednesday, August 4, 2021 Plenty of sweet berries and cherries with hints of burnt orange. It’s medium-bodied with a caressing, creamy structure. Pretty fruit at the end. Balanced and beautiful. Always satisfies. Drink now.RP8989 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 7th Oct 2021 The hot 2020 vintage recorded one of the earliest harvests in Fattoria le Pupille’s history. Their easy-drinking 2020 Morellino di Scansano delivers lots of soft cherry and sweet ripeness. This Sangiovese-based wine also shows Mediterranean herb and wild rose. These are fresh and immediate results to pair with a plate of cheese ravioli in sage and butter sauce. The wine concludes with a soft, accessible personality.SP8888 pts. - Wine Spectator - Oct 31, 2021 Offers a mouthful of black cherry and blackberry fruit, with accents of earth and black pepper. Rich and ready to enjoy. Sangiovese, Alicante and Ciliegiolo. Drink now. 12,500 cases made, 3,106 cases imported.
RP9090 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 12th May 2022 The 2020 Silvan Riesling is unoaked but for just two weeks in seventh-use French oak. It comes in with four grams of residual sugar, 7.4 of total acidity and 12.5% alcohol. Another beauty in this brand, this is fresh, crisp and transparent. Don’t worry about the wood, which is a non-factor in affecting flavor. It’s just a bit of spice for texture and mouthfeel. The rest shows precision, power and good depth. It’s a serious and stern dry Riesling with the ability to age. There is nothing fruity here. The balance here might lean a little more to fruit than with the 2019, to be sure, but they are pretty similar and neither is a wine to sip on its own on the porch. They need food. This and its predecessor vintage, not here at this time, make quite the dynamic duo. That they are so reasonably priced just puts the cherry on top. It will be interesting to see how they evolve and who wins in the end.SP9090 pts. - Wine Spectator - Apr 30, 2022 Very fresh, featuring acacia, lemon pith and white peach notes laced with a quinine thread on the pleasantly nervy finish. Drink now through 2025. 453 cases made.

WS9292 pts. - Wine & Spirits - 06/22 Heron Hill submitted seven rieslings from Ingle—micro-selections of the largest vineyard on Canandaigua Lake. This one is an amalgam from the entire site, a cool, dry place that produces riesling with persistence and drive. Couched in lemon-lime flavors, this has a flinty, saline tang to the texture, the palate focused and lively.RP9191 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 12th May 2022 The 2020 Riesling Ingle Vineyard has 8.1 grams per liter of residual sugar, 8.5 of total acidity and 11.4% alcohol. You might note that you can step up from the “Reserve” Riesling to this for an extra $2. Should you? Well, I’d say yes, but reasonable minds might differ. It’s more a matter of style than quality. The Reserve Riesling is deeper and lusher, more approachable now. Many will appreciate that style. This has sharper edges and more power. The juicy finish and the tension serve this well, but don’t think it is just a mindlessly shrill wine. It is in fine balance, with a trace of sugar around the edges. It’s very tasty and almost hard to resist, even as a dry wine, but your mind is definitely saying “this needs time, this needs time” even as you reach for the bottle. I’m impressed. I’m even more interested to see how this might evolve with a few years in the cellar. It has the potential to be even more than it is today. It should age very well. (Mark Squires)JS9191 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Sunday, December 11, 2022 Aromas of green apples, lime peel and white peaches. Medium-bodied with bright, persistent acidity. A charmer. Drink now.WE9090 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 10/1/2022 Juiced peach and guava aromas meet bright lemon iced tea on the nose. It’s perky and zesty on the semidry palate, with a string of lemon honey lingering over juicy peach and apple flavors. (Alexander Peartree)
WE9191 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 5/1/2023 This Cabernet Sauvignon adds a bit of Petite Sirah and Malbec to the mix. The result is an overall well-balanced red that offers approachable layers of complexity. Find notes of black currant, black plum, boysenberry jam, clove, nutmeg, coriander, black licorice and just a hint of barnyard. (Stacy Briscoe)
RP9292 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 19th Aug 2021 The 2020 Régnié Vallières is terrific, offering up aromas of cherries, plums and sweet spices. Medium to full-bodied, velvety and succulent, with lively acids, powdery tannins and a long, flavorful finish, it’s pure and seamless, with impeccable balance despite the extremes of the vintage.
WE9191 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 10/1/2022 Fruity and focused, this lightly tangy and well-balanced wine offers clean, ripe pear, apple and lemon nuances on a lively, refreshing texture. Without barrel aging, it lets all the natural fruitiness of Chardonnay flow through. (Jim Gordon)
