Where this trend originated is a mystery, but it is said that Small Batch Whiskey found its origin in the 19th century as whiskey-makers strove to create the perfect whiskey. However, this type of whiskey distilling did not become popular until very recently as modern technology has made this arduous process a little bit more accessible. Usually aged anywhere from ten to thirty years, and blended with only a small amount of the finest barrel select product, small batch whiskey is the next big thing for serious whiskey connoisseurs to someone who just plain enjoys whiskey.
