RP9090 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 30th Jun 2005 The dry, medium amber-hued non-vintage Dry Amontillado Los Arcos offers good body as well as a heady personality.SP9090 pts. - Wine Spectator - Aug 31, 2016 Walnut, halva, singed almond and green tea notes give this an intriguing profile, flirting with an off-dry character. Stays dry through the bitter orange-edged finish. Drink now. 4,500 cases made.WS9090 pts. - Wine & Spirits - October 1, 2017 This wine’s caramel flavors become more saline as the wine opens in the glass. It’s soft in texture and voluptuous in aromas, a seductive blend of sweet, concentrated liqueur-like fruit and salt.
WE9393 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - This almost colorless vermouth holds a sweet, sugar-candy nose. The body is medium, and the palate, surprisingly enough, very, very dry with faint, but pleasing, herbal notes. The finish is very dry with notes of herbs and fruits.
JD9191 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - March 22, 2021 Blueberries, violets, crushed rocks, peppery spice, and floral notes all emerge from the 2018 Montsant Mas Donis Old Vines, which tastes like a baby Priorat. Rich and medium to full-bodied, it offers an elegant, seamless texture, light tannins, and a great finish. (Jeb Dunnuck)
VN9292 pts. - Vinous - Nov 2021 The 2018 Privada Family Blend Norton is a blend of 40% Malbec, 30% Merlot, and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon from Luján de Cuyo and was aged for 16 months in French barrels. Dark purple in the glass, the nose offers notes of fresh plum, mint and violets with white pepper and secondary woody notes such as cedar and vanilla. Intense on the palate, it’s juicy with fine, still reactive tannins that will evolve to lend a velvety texture.RP9191 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 31st Mar 2021 The 2018 Privada Family Blend is a blend of 40% Malbec and 30% each Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot from vineyards in Luján de Cuyo. It’s classical, barrel aged and ripe with a dense and juicy texture and plenty of tannins that call for food. It has pungent and deep flavors of ripe fruit and spice and leaves a balsamic sensation on the palate. The tannins are chalky. 250,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in December 2019.
WE9090 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 10/1/2022 There’s a steely edge to the pear, apple and crisp pineapple aromas on the nose of this bottling. The palate sizzles with acidity and offers a touch of grip, with key lime pie flavors most prevalent. (Matt Kettmann)SP8989 pts. - Wine Spectator - Mar 31, 2023 Offers juicy peach, apricot and pineapple flavors that are pure and appealing on a succulent frame, with a hint of honeysuckle lingering on the finish. Drink now. 192,500 cases made. (MaryAnn Worobiec)
SP8888 pts. - Wine Spectator - Sep 30, 2002 A touch of sweetness introduces this medium-bodied, balanced oloroso, whose molasses, caramel, and roasted nut flavors end with a mouthwatering tang. Try with nuts or a mild cheese like Manchego. Drink now.WE8585 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 7/1/1997 Deep amber with subtle copper cast. Moderately full-bodied. Mild sweetness. Marzipan, toffee, walnuts. Attractively flavored and relatively full in the mouth with well balanced acidity. Maintains an enticingly roasted character throughout with the faintest suggest of sweetness in the finish.
WE9090 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - Tawny brown color. Medium to full-bodied, but not weighty. Sweet, but not cloying. Pretty browned butter and golden raisin flavors. Complex, long finish.
RP9191 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 31st Aug 2021 The Mediterranean 2019 Tectonia Grenache Petite Sirah Mourvedre has notes of dry straw, aromatic herbs and some spices and a medium to full-bodied palate with concentration and balance. It’s tasty and supple and displays fine, chalky tannins. 33,968 bottles produced. It was bottled after one year in barrel.
WE9494 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 2/10/2017 The producer jokingly calls it “Bone White Boissiere,” but it’s indeed bracingly dry, with mouthwatering acidity. The aroma has a faint earthiness but no sweetness to it, while the palate adds mild pear and elderflower, finishing with just a squeak of citrus. Sip with a curl of lemon peel, or substitute it for dry Sherry in food pairings or cocktails.

RP9191 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 30th Dec 2016 Cropped from a cool and wet vintage, the 2015 Gene is a blend of 50% Malbec with 20% each Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc plus 10% Merlot from Gualtallary that aims to show the gentler side of the appellation, fresh with a soft texture. The grapes come from seven-year-old vines from Tupungato Winelands. The Malbec fermented in cement vats and the other grapes in amphorae and then matured in well-seasoned, neutral barriques for some ten months. This has a more commercial, accessible profile, though for the wider audience but keeping the electricity and minerality from Gualtallary. There is less oak than in previous vintages; the barrels are older and they are fine-tuning the process. Great balance between the more commercial and terroir side. 15,000 bottles were filled in May 2016.
WE9191 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 12/1/2020 This big wine from South Australia has lovely varietal expression in tones of blue, black and red fruit, fresh mint, cracked pepper and cigar box. The tannins are taut and powerful, talc-like in texture, but not overwhelming thanks to a line of juicy fruit. Protein alongside this is a necessity.SP8585 pts. - Wine Spectator - Oct 15, 2020 Tight herb, earth and wild blackberry flavors have good concentration, mingling with dense, cedary tannins and a black pepper accent on the finish. Drink now. 5,000 cases imported.
WE8888 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 12/31/2022 Poached pear, coconut and lime juice make for a tropical nose. The palate is broad with flavors of peach and more coconut, with a lightly lingering acidity on the finish. (Matt Kettmann)SP8686 pts. - Wine Spectator - Jun 30, 2023 Shows candied lemon, peach and pineapple flavors that are supple and succulent, with juicy freshness and a touch of fresh-clipped herbs. Drink now. 519,000 cases made. (MaryAnn Worobiec)
