    WE9090 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 11/1/2022
Bell pepper, eucalyptus and cherry are displayed in the nose of this blend of 74% Malbec and 26% Cabernet Sauvignon. It has an herbal character, with green bell-pepper flavors followed by plum and hints of dark chocolate. Good acidity and moderate tannins makes it very approachable. (Jesica Vargas)
    SP8989 pts. - Wine Spectator - Mar 31, 2022

A tight, focused red with dark-plum and hazelnut character. Citrus, too. Medium to full body. Bright finish. Shows refined tension and beauty. Drink or hold.
    RP9191 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 31st Mar 2021
I find a very nicely crafted and harmonious wine in the 2018 Malbec Remolinos Vineyard, a red with a fruit-driven nose full of violets, berries, good freshness and elegance. The palate is very balanced and fresh with no edges. It is simply delicious. They produced 300,000 bottles of this.

  6. Altos Las Hormigas Malbec Terroir Valle de Uco

    2018 / 750 ml. | Item#53961

    RP9292 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 31st Oct 2019
The 2018 Malbec Terroir Valle de Uco has great brightness of fruit and much more freshness than the one from Luján that I tasted next to it. It’s expressive, aromatic and more elegant, with refined tannins and a silkier mouthfeel. There is a special brightness here.
    VN9292 pts. - Vinous - Nov 2021
The 2018 MalbecTerroir comes from La Consulta and Tupungato, Uco Valley and was 25% aged in foudres. Purple in color. The reductive nose delivers herbs and violets with tightly packed but clear blackberry and plum aromas. In the mouth, things are a little different. Juicy and flavorful, the expansive flow brings grip and chalky tannins with a degree of linearity that stretches out the finish. A Malbec for modern palates.
    JS9090 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Thursday, April 8, 2021
Ripe-plum, cherry, vanilla and lemon-zest aromas. It’s medium-bodied with fine tannins and a succulent, fresh finish. Drink now.

  7. Clos de los Siete

    2018 / 750 ml. | Item#59374

    WE9292 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 6/30/2021
Clos de los Siete almost never fails, and this version from a ripe and easy vintage is just that: ripe and easy. Inky blackberry and black currant aromas show a waft of campfire creosote, while this feels big and round, with plenty of mouth-blackening fruit. Oak-aided blackberry, cassis and chocolate flavors come with a hint of herbs, while the finish is smooth and mild. Drink through 2023.
    VN9191 pts. - Vinous - Nov 2021
The 2018 Clos De Los Siete combines grapes from a large property of the same name in Campo de los Andes, Uco Valley in a blend of 55% Malbec, 19% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Syrah, 2% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc. The assemblage here is made by Michel Rolland and his team, 70% of which is aged in up to 1/3 use French barrels. Dense, dark violet in color. The nose is complex in the Bordelais style, presenting aromas of plum, blackcurrant and blackberry with hints of blueberry, oak and herbs. The 2018 is free-flowing on the palate with good energy and volume. It’s mild tannins still have enough energy to lend shape and intense flavor. An interesting, potent wine. Drink in two years. (Joaquín Hidalgo)
    SP9090 pts. - Wine Spectator - Sep 30, 2021
Dense and powerful, with plenty of loamy notes to the dark cherry and roasted plum flavors that show creamy accents. Ends with dark chocolate on the finish. The 2018 Privada Family Blend Norton is a blend of 40% Malbec, 30% Merlot, and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon from Luján de Cuyo and was aged for 16 months in French barrels. Dark purple in the glass, the nose offers notes of fresh plum, mint and violets with white pepper and secondary woody notes such as cedar and vanilla. Intense on the palate, it’s juicy with fine, still reactive tannins that will evolve to lend a velvety texture.
    RP9191 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 31st Mar 2021
The 2018 Privada Family Blend is a blend of 40% Malbec and 30% each Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot from vineyards in Luján de Cuyo. The 2019 Malbec Norton Reserva from Luján de Cuyo spent 12 months aging in French barrels. An intense purple in hue. The nose offers notes ranging from ripe plum to prunes along with white pepper and aromas from the aging process such as pencil box. Broad with sweet tannins, the flow is languorous but maintains an almost juicy freshness. A generally classical wine, the acidity is a modern touch.
