Shop Our Selection of Napa Valley Wines

Napa Valley wines are without question the most famous and important wines from the United States, even though the Napa Valley wine region is actually one of the smallest in the world. Some of the most iconic and recognizable Napa Valley Wineries include Beaulieu Vineyards, Beringer, Cliff Lede, Dominus, Hess, Robert Mondavi Winery, Opus One, and Sterling.

While Napa Valley itself is an appellation there are also sixteen sub-appellations or American Viticultural Areas (AVAs). The climate and terrain of these sub-appellations — including Los Carneros, St. Helena, Stags Leap District, and others — are actually quite diverse, ranging from rugged mountains to cooler coastal influences, and many nuances in-between.

Most Napa wine is made with premium varietals such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, and Zinfandel

  1. Colgin Tychson Hill

    Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
    2017 / 750 ml. | Item#54063

    RP9898 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 31st Oct 2019
The berries at Tychson Hill vineyard were very small in 2017. “This wine totally required baby steps with the extraction,” said winemaker Allison Tauziet. Very deep purple-black in color, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Tychson Hill Vineyard leaps from the glass with vibrant black cherries, warm blackberries and blackcurrant scents with hints of violets, dark chocolate, lavender and camphor plus a fragrant waft of rose hip tea. Medium to full-bodied, the structure is taut, restraining all the tightly packed, energetic black fruit layers, with a wonderfully fine-grained texture and bags of freshness, finishing long and mineral laced. Still very tightly wound, this one needs time, but it should handsomely reward patience.
    JD9898 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 1/31/2020
Starting out, the 2017 Tychson Hill is gorgeous, revealing a saturated purple color as well as a sweet bouquet of blackcurrants, ground herbs, chocolate, toasted bread, and subtle yet high class oak. Full-bodied, beautifully textured, and flawlessly balanced on the palate, it has silky tannins, a stacked mid-palate, and a big finish. This is a backward, primordial beauty that’s going to need 4–5 years of bottle age yet shine for 30 years or more. (Jeb Dunnuck)
    VN96+96+ pts. - Vinous - Jan 2020
The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Tychson Hill is bright, focused and bristling with energy. In 2017, Tychson Hill is more overly tannic and structured than in most years, but all that means is that readers need to be a bit patient. A rush of black cherry, plum, lavender, mint and licorice builds as this explosive Cabernet Sauvignon gradually opens up in the glass. Heady and exotic in its beauty, the 2017 is positively stellar. It reminds me a bit of the 2001, a wine that needed years to soften and be at its very best. That may very well be the case here as well.
    SP9494 pts. - Wine Spectator - Nov 15, 2020
A dense, packed version, with lots of steeped black currant and fig fruit forming the core, which expands steadily as it airs, fueled by extra tobacco, dark earth and espresso cream notes. A touch rugged and burly through the finish, an aspect of the vintage. This should cruise in the cellar and tame with time. Best from 2022 through 2038. 550 cases made.

  2. Colgin Tychson Hill

    Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
    2018 / 750 ml. | Item#57033

    RP100100 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 30th Nov 2020
Opaque purple-black in color, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Tychson Hill Vineyard jumps from the glass with bold, gregarious scents of blueberry compote, black cherry preserves and warm cassis plus nuances of roses, star anise and candied violets with gentle wafts of dark chocolate and cinnamon. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is super intense with a whole fireworks display of floral sparks going off among the red and black fruits, framed by exquisitely ripe, finely pixilated tannins, finishing long and mineral laced. This edifying beauty takes Napa Valley elegance and grace to a whole new level.
    JD100100 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 1/27/2021
The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Tychson Hill is straight-up off-the-charts and one of the true gems in the vintage. Revealing a deep purple hue as well as extraordinary notes of crème de cassis, white flowers, spice, tobacco, and classy oak, it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, no hard edges, and just perfect integration of its fruit, tannins, and acidity. I’d happily enjoy a bottle today, but smart money would give these a solid 4–5 years in the cellar and it should keep for 30–40 years. (Jeb Dunnuck)
    VN9898 pts. - Vinous - Jan 2022
The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Tychson Hill is seamless, elegant and supremely beautiful. There’s not a thing out of place. Silky tannins wrap around a core of dark-fleshed fruit, with hints of chocolate, spice, leather and dried herbs that make an appearance with time in the glass. The Tychson Hill shows just how magical this vintage is.
    SP9797 pts. - Wine Spectator - Oct 31, 2021
A beauty, with waves of cassis, distilled plum and warmed kirsch that glide through, carried by seemingly silky texture despite obvious tannic spine. The back end unfurls with notes of violet, incense, and red and black tea, with a subtle mineral edge, while the fruit holds the main focus. So much guile for a large-scaled wine. Best from 2022 through 2040. 600 cases made.

    JS9898 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Friday, February 14, 2020
Wonderful blackberry and blackcurrant aromas here with hints of mint and fresh sage. Some cassis. Wrought iron, too. Full-bodied, tight and elegant with lovely tension. Beautiful. Ends fine and focused. Drinkable now, but better after 2022.
    VN96+96+ pts. - Vinous - Jan 2020
The 2017 Proprietary Red Wine Sage Mountain Vineyard comes across as remarkably primary. Bright red-toned fruit and floral notes give the 2017 striking freshness as well as nuance. Deep and layered on the palate, with superb depth, the 2017 Continuum is easily one of the wines of the year. Even in the early going, it is truly magnificent.

    JS9999 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Thursday, March 3, 2022
Blackberries, dark wet soil and blackcurrants. Graphite, too. So aromatic. Pure fruit. Full-bodied with superbly polished, fine tannins that draw you down through the center of palate. Extremely layered and the texture is so curated, giving wonderful persistence. Real plushness and fine, velvety texture. 50% cabernet sauvignon, 37% cabernet franc, 7% petit verdot and 6% merlot. Better after 2026.
    RP9898 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 31st May 2022
Continuum’s 2019 Proprietary Red is 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Cabernet Franc, 7% Petit Verdot and 6% Merlot, all from the estate vineyard on Pritchard Hill. Aged in two-thirds new French oak, with the balance in second or third-use barrels and a single concrete amphora, it’s remarkably dark in hue, a deep, saturated purple in the glass. On the nose, it’s floral and herbal yet fruit-driven, with violets, sage and bay leaf adding nuance to black cherries, while the palate is full-bodied, plush and silky. There’s an enticing yin-yang to the interplay between high-toned herbals and bass notes of dark chocolate in this dense, concentrated effort that finishes lush and long. It’s a magnificent wine that should drink well for at least two decades.

    VN9393 pts. - Vinous - Jan 2021
The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley) is quite inviting in its first impression, even if all the elements haven’t quite come together just yet. That won’t be an issue in a few years’ time, but for now the 2018 is best left alone untouched for a bit. Bright acids, red berry fruit and lifted aromatics make for a delicious and promising Napa Valley Cabernet. The Napa Valley Cabernet is a pure St. Helena wine.

    RP9393 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 15th Sep 2022
Delicate herbal shadings accent the cassis notes on the nose of Corison’s 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon. It’s classic Corison, balanced and concentrated without being showy or weighty, silky in feel, with a long, lingering finish and two decades of ageability. (Joe Czerwinski)
    VN9393 pts. - Vinous - Jan 2022
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is full of charm. It offers all of the natural intensity of the year, with bright acids that keep the flavors bright. Sweet red cherry, plum, cedar, tobacco and spice all build effortlessly. This open-knit yet classically built Cabernet is likely to offer a wide window of drinkability over the next 15–20 years. As always, Cathy Corison’s Napa Valley Cabernet is a blend of three sites in St. Helena. (Antonio Galloni)

    2014 / 750 ml. | Item#47433

    VN9595 pts. - Vinous - Dec 2016
The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon is super-refined, polished and articulate, with mid-weight structure and fine overall balance. Readers should expect a somewhat laid-back wine by Dalla Valle’s standards. In 2014, the Cabernet Sauvignon is especially aromatic and nuanced. It should drink well with minimal cellaring.

    RP98+98+ pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 30th Nov 2021
Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate needs a lot of swirling and coaxing to unlock notions of blackcurrant pastilles, warm black plums and mulberries, plus hints of black olives, tilled soil, mossy tree bark and violets with emerging baker’s chocolate and star anise hints. Full-bodied, rich, concentrated and with impeccable poise, it has beautifully ripe, grainy tannins and just enough freshness, finishing epically long and earthy. (Lisa Perrotti-Brown)
    VN9797 pts. - Vinous - Jan 2022
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is dazzling. What a wine! Ample and creamy, the 2019 possesses striking resonance to match its elegant, refined personality. A healthy dollop of Franc adds freshness to a core of dark red cherry, red plum, mocha, spice and new leather flavors. There is a level purity here that is just remarkable. This is the first vintage that includes a small portion of wine aged in amphora. I especially admire the aromatic presence and vibrancy in the 2019. (Antonio Galloni)
    JD9797 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 3/10/2022
Including 20% Cabernet Franc, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is a hidden gem. While the Maya gets all the attention, the classic Cabernet Sauvignon from this team is insanely good, year-in, year-out. The 2019 sports a dense purple color as well as quintessential Cabernet notes of cassis, black raspberries, flowers, toasted spices, and tobacco leaf. The purity of fruit is incredible, it’s full-bodied, has silky tannins, and flawless balance. It has 30 years of prime drinking ahead of it. (Jeb Dunnuck)

    Napa Valley Red Wine
    2015 / 750 ml. | Item#48456

    VN97+97+ pts. - Vinous - Mar 2018
The 2015 Maya is surprisingly powerful and tightly wound. Time in the glass allows the tannins to relax just enough for the fruit to gradually emerge. Like all of the 2015s here, the Maya is still very primary in its expression of fruit. Even so, the wine’s heady, flamboyant personality is very much on display. Dark cherry, plum, mocha, licorice, lavender and exotic spice overtones gradually develop in the glass, but it will be years before the 2015 enters its prime.
    RP96+96–98 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 31st Oct 2017
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2015 Maya Proprietary Red Wine opens with sweet plums, spice box and kirsch notes with nuances of vanillin, cocoa powder, dried herbs and loam. Medium to full-bodied, soft, approachable and very sexy even at this youthful stage, it has a long, perfumed finish. This was tasted as a barrel sample.

    2019 / 750 ml. | Item#58813

    RP100100 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 30th Nov 2021
As fans know, Maya comes from a very special section of the estate vineyard, situated in the valley’s eastern foothills, below Pritchard Hill and in the above the Oakville floor, overlooking Screaming Eagle. The blend is two-thirds Cabernet Sauvignon and one-third Cabernet Franc. Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2019 Maya slowly unfurls to reveal a firework display of redcurrant preserves, kirsch, boysenberries and wild blueberries, followed by iron ore, red roses, cardamom, fallen leaves and crushed rocks, with a waft of pencil shavings. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is stunningly graceful and refined, featuring exhilarating mineral sparks among the red and black fruits, finishing with so much brightness and energy. Breathtaking! (Lisa Perrotti-Brown)
    JD100100 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 3/10/2022
One of the finest wines in the vintage is the 2019 Maya Proprietary Red Wine, and red wine doesn’t get any better. The usual blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Cabernet Franc, its deep purple hue is followed by an incredible bouquet of blackcurrants, tobacco, dark chocolate, and crushed stone, which turns more floral, pretty, and complex with time in the glass. Full-bodied on the palate, it marries a rare sense of elegance and finesse with incredible intensity. It’s impossible to resist today yet merits at least 5–7 years of bottle age, and I have no doubt this beauty will still be enjoyable at age 50. Bravo! (Jeb Dunnuck)
    VN9898 pts. - Vinous - Jan 2022
The 2019 Maya is fabulous. I can’t remember a young Maya with this much sheer immediacy and allure at this stage. The purity of the flavors is just remarkable. Bright red/purplish fruit, spice, blood orange, mocha and mint are some of notes that open over time. There is plenty of tannin, but it is nearly buried by the sheer intensity of the fruit. I would not be in any rush to open a bottle soon. In 2019, Maya is more finesse than power. (Antonio Galloni)

    2012 / 750 ml. | Item#42542

    RP9696 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 30th Oct 2014
The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Helms Vineyard, which is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from the Rutherford AVA, has a dense black cherry and blackcurrant-scented nose with graphite and forest floor notes, beautiful purity, full-bodied mouthfeel and super-richness and power, but elegant and complex. This is classic Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon and should age beautifully for 20–25 years.
    VN9696 pts. - Vinous - Dec 2014
Dana’s 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Helms Vineyard possesses remarkable structure and density, especially within the context of the year. Firm yet well-integrated tannins give the wine much of its energy, tension and focus. Black cherry jam, graphite, smoke and tobacco add nuance as the wine opens up in the glass. Far from an easygoing 2012, the Helms is going to need time to fully come together. There is so much to look forward to here. This is the first vintage since 2008 that was vinified in wood uprights, as was originally intended. The intervening vintages have been much shorter, so they were done in barrel. The 2012 impresses for its balance of fruit, acidity and tannin.
    SP9494 pts. - Wine Spectator - Oct 31, 2015
Dense and pleasantly earthy, with an edge of loamy earth and crushed rock minerality cutting through the core of currant, blackberry and mocha before the dense, earthy tannins fold in. The finish is long and engaging. Drink now through 2030. 284 cases made.

The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Three Acre shows beautiful sweet crème de cassis, spring flowers and blacker berry fruit. It has an intriguing wild mountain berry note. Full-bodied, rich, concentrated, opulent and sexy, this is the wine to drink now and over the next 15–20 years.
    VN9292 pts. - Vinous - Oct 2015
The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Three Acre has turned out beautifully. Plump, juicy and deeply expressive, the 2013 is quite expressive this year, especially within the context of the vintage. Dark red cherry, plum, spice, new leather and licorice meld together in a supple, creamy Cabernet Sauvignon to drink over the next decade or so. Dollops of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc round out the blend.
