WE9191 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 4/1/2023 At $10, this is a total bang-for-the-buck Pinot Noir that incorporates layered aromas and flavors of raspberry, cranberry, wild strawberry, fresh and dried violet, baking spices, forest floor, mushroom, and a river rock minerality. Elevated acidity allows for a refreshing quality; medium tannins add just the right amount of texture. JD9494 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 7/22/2021 I also loved the 2019 Pinot Noir White Label. This is another classic Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir, offering loads of framboise and ripe strawberry fruit intermixed with subtle spice, forest floor, and subtle herbal nuances. Playing in the medium-bodied end of the spectrum, it’s wonderfully balanced and has a silky, polished mouthfeel as well as a great finish. It’s another beautiful Pinot Noir that I suspect will have a good decade of overall longevity. (Jeb Dunnuck)
RP9595 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 16th Dec 2021 Made with about 20% whole clusters, the 2019 Pinot Noir is intensely scented of blackberries and dark red cherries with notes of iron, blood orange, aniseed and cured meats. The palate is concentrated and alluringly broody, with intense, iron-laced fruit. It has a seamless structure, with grainy tannins supporting the full flavors, and it finishes with great length. (Erin Brooks)WE9393 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 3/1/2023 This is an elegant blend of fruit from Luminous Hills, Nysa and Cherry Grove vineyards. The wine’s honey and orange aromas are like walking through a field of sweet peas. Coming along for the journey are black cherry and lightly toasted marshmallow aromas. The wine’s silky mouthfeel is belied by tannins that are firm without being grippy. Flavors such as blackberry, blueberry gelato, cedar and thyme leave a lasting impression. (Michael Alberty)VN9292 pts. - Vinous - Feb 2022 Bright ruby-red. Lively, spice-accented red fruits on the nose, along with suggestions of candied rose and smoky minerals. Juicy cherry and raspberry flavors show good depth but no undue weight. The spice and floral notes drive a long, smooth finish that displays discreet tannins and a sweetening hint of cola. 20% whole clusters. (Josh Raynolds)SP9292 pts. - Wine Spectator - Feb 28, 2023 Supple and graceful, with delicately layered raspberry, rose petal and spice flavors that glide along a rich, lovely finish. Drink now through 2029. 476 cases made. (Tim Fish)
WE9292 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 3/1/2023 Cherry fans need to rally around this bottle. The wine’s sweet, black-cherry aroma is almost cassis like in its intensity. Notes of orange, pine needles and forest floor add interest, but from the backseat. The palate features a lighter cherry flavor—perhaps Bing or Rainier—with notes of thyme and seared steak. The wine feels fresh and lively in the mouth, with brilliant acidity. (Michael Alberty)JS9191 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Tuesday, April 4, 2023 Aromas of baked strawberry, ground coffee, violet and bark. Medium-bodied with silky tannins. Fresh fruit with darker undertones adding complexity. Crisp at the finish. Drink now. (James Suckling)
