Wine Grapes

Primary Grape: Pinot Noir | All Grapes: 100% Pinot Noir

From the Producer

A deep ruby color in the glass, the wine greets the nose with fruit aromas of raspberry, black plum and currant, with violet, orange peel, cedar, leather and forest floor. Flavors of dark fruit—black cherry, plum and currant—up front on the palate are joined by bramble and cedar with some tobacco and leather. This is a bold wine with full fruit, balanced acidity and smooth tannins. A long, lingering finish boasts big fruit and spicy, toasty oak.

"A focused and mineral pinot with aromas of cranberries, rosemary, red tea, white pepper and lemon zest. Medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins. Tight and vibrant. Drink now or hold. Screw cap. (James Suckling)" (92 pts.)

United States

The United States now ranks fourth in the world in wine production behind, France, Italy, and Spain. While about 90% of that wine is produced in California, other states like Oregon, New York, and Washington are establishing themselves as prime spots for wine production, as well. Just about any variety of wine can be found in production somewhere in the United States.
