Browse Our Finger Lakes Wines

Winemadeeasy.com has one of the largest selections of Finger Lakes wineries under one roof.

Finger Lakes wine has come a long way since the New York Farm Winery Act of 1976, which gave many wineries their start. Whereas many Finger Lakes wines were made from native grapes (such as Concord, Niagara, and Catawba) in the beginning, many international grape varieties have now found a home in this cool-climate region.

Finger Lakes wineries are now noted by many publications for their world-class quality Rieslings and ice wine. Speaking of international recognition, Finger Lakes wineries have also attracted top winemakers from outside of the U.S. including Canada, France, Germany, and Austria.

  2. Forge Cellars Breakneck Creek Vineyard Dry Riesling

    2017 / 750 ml. | Item#48193

    VN9292 pts. - Vinous - Dec 2019
Harvested from the gravelly silt loam soils on the east side of Seneca Lake. Golden yellow in color, with a delicate, quiet nose of violet, iris and green apple. In the mouth, it’s steely, the fruity notes of nectarine and apple peel giving way to a pretty saltiness and slightly muted acidity. Gentle and attractive. 2.67 grams residual sugar.
    RP9090 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 28th Jun 2019
The 2017 Dry Riesling Breakneck Creek Vineyard, as with many of the others here, was whole-cluster pressed, fermented with indigenous yeasts and then fermented and aged in neutral French barrels for roughly seven months. It comes in with three grams of residual sugar and 13% alcohol. This was sourced from 20-year-old vines on the east side of Seneca Lake.

  12. Fox Run Silvan Riesling

    2020 / 750 ml. | Item#57705

    RP9090 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 12th May 2022
The 2020 Silvan Riesling is unoaked but for just two weeks in seventh-use French oak. It comes in with four grams of residual sugar, 7.4 of total acidity and 12.5% alcohol. Another beauty in this brand, this is fresh, crisp and transparent. Don’t worry about the wood, which is a non-factor in affecting flavor. It’s just a bit of spice for texture and mouthfeel. The rest shows precision, power and good depth. It’s a serious and stern dry Riesling with the ability to age. There is nothing fruity here. The balance here might lean a little more to fruit than with the 2019, to be sure, but they are pretty similar and neither is a wine to sip on its own on the porch. They need food. This and its predecessor vintage, not here at this time, make quite the dynamic duo. That they are so reasonably priced just puts the cherry on top. It will be interesting to see how they evolve and who wins in the end.
    SP9090 pts. - Wine Spectator - Apr 30, 2022
Very fresh, featuring acacia, lemon pith and white peach notes laced with a quinine thread on the pleasantly nervy finish. Drink now through 2025. 453 cases made.
