  1. Andremily Syrah No. 8

    2019 / 750 ml. | Item#57304

    JD98+98–100 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 8/26/2021
Another magical wine in the lineup, the 2019 No 8 is Syrah-based, with 9% Mourvèdre and 3% Viognier. There should be a little over 800 cases produced, and it was 55% destemmed and is still resting in 65% new French oak. I love its freshness and elegance, and it’s one of those rare incredibly hedonistic yet seamless, weighty wines that does everything right. Pure cassis, blackberries, smoked meats, and white pepper slowly emerge on the nose, and it’s full-bodied, with perfect balance and a great, great finish. (Jeb Dunnuck)
    RP95+95–97 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 7th Oct 2021
Deep purple-black in color, notes of stewed plums, ripe boysenberries and juicy blackberries charge out of the gate, followed by hints of root beer, smoked meats, black truffles and hoisin. The full-bodied palate has beautiful freshness with a provocative peppery note and bags of ripe, rich black fruits, finishing long and spicy. Due to be bottled in mid-August 2021, 850 cases and a few magnums will be made.

  2. Domaine Saint Prefert Colombis Châteauneuf du Pape

    2019 / 750 ml. | Item#55109

    JD96+96–99 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 10/6/2020
One of my favorite wines in the world, the Châteauneuf du Pape Colombis is all old vine Grenache from the Colombis lieu-dit located on the western side of the appellation. The 2019 sports a healthy ruby/purple color as well as a classic Grenache bouquet of black raspberries, herbes de Provence, peppery spice, and flowery incense. Already complex, it’s full-bodied, has a wonderful sense of purity, beautiful tannins, and a great finish. This is power paired with elegance, and few wines do it so well. It’s going to drink beautifully for 15-20+ years. (Jeb Dunnuck)
    VN9696 pts. - Vinous - Oct 2021
Deep, shimmering ruby. Expansive, mineral- and spice-accented red and dark berry preserve, incense, cola and garrigue qualities on the finely detailed nose. Palate-staining cherry pie, raspberry, boysenberry, floral pastille and fruitcake flavors show uncanny energy for their depth. The spice and floral notes dominate a seriously long, sappy finish framed by velvety, well-knit tannins.
    SP9494 pts. - Wine Spectator - Dec 31, 2021
So silky this version seems expressive at first, but the core of cassis, cherry purée and raspberry fruit is tightly coiled, with both chalk and iron notes having their say, stretching out in unison through the finish. Black tea and garrigue hints peek in as well, which is a sign of what’s to come after cellaring. Best from 2023 through 2036. 3,720 cases made, 310 cases imported.

  3. Patrimony Cabernet Sauvignon

    2019 / 750 ml. | Item#58635

    JD97+97–99 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 9/30/2021
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon continues to show brilliantly. (I rated it 97–100 from barrel last year.) It has a quintessential Cabernet nose of pure crème de cassis, crushed stone, lead pencil, graphite, and tobacco that gains depth and richness with time in the glass. Deep, full-bodied, rich, and incredibly textured, yet still fresh, light on its feet, and beautifully balanced, this gorgeous Cabernet shows what’s possible with the variety from Paso Robles. (Jeb Dunnuck)
    VN9797 pts. - Vinous - Mar 2023
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Patrimony lifts from the glass with a classic bouquet of black currant, lifting hints of rosemary, graphite and dusty sage. It’s silky, nearly creamy in feel, with depths of ripe dark red fruit and sweet spice that swirl throughout. A web of fine-grained tannins engulfs the palate. While powerful and structured, the impact is well-measured, leaving the senses clenched in youthful poise as pretty inner florals slowly fade. What a beauty, and with such an amazingly bright future. (Eric Guido)
    RP95+95–97 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 15th Mar 2022
The 2019 Patrimony is fresh and minerally at this stage. Still in barrel, it’s made entirely of free-run Cabernet Sauvignon and will be aged for 30 months in 100% new French oak. Deep ruby-purple, it’s scented of blueberry liqueur, thyme, mint chocolate and dried herbs with savory wafts of soy sauce. The full-bodied palate is grainy and fresh, with a long, spicy finish. It has the detail and balance to allow it to pick up complexity as it continues along its evolution toward bottling. (Erin Brooks)

  4. Darioush Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

    2019 / 750 ml. | Item#57773

    SP9393 pts. - Wine Spectator - Aug 31, 2022
A ripe, lush style, with waves of warmed plum sauce, cassis, Christmas pudding and melted black licorice rolling through, inlaid with singed tobacco, menthol and loam hints along the way. For fans of the big style. Drink now through 2032. 9,680 cases made. (James Molesworth)
    JD9393 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 3/10/2022
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon offers more plum and cassis fruits as well as scorched earth, camphor, and chocolate aromatics. Rich, full-bodied, and mouth-filling, it has ripe, polished tannins, terrific overall balance, and a great finish. (Jeb Dunnuck)
    JS9292 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Thursday, November 4, 2021
Aromas of dark plums, dark chocolate, orange zest, sage and spice box. Full-bodied with chewy tannins. Rich, with fruity and dusty character and a firm finish. Better from 2023.
    RP9090 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 31st May 2022
A blend of fruit from Mount Veeder and the broader Napa Valley AVA, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is 100% Cab, matured 22 months in 85% new French oak. The wood lends plenty of cedary notes, but there’s also ample cassis, blackberry and plum. In the mouth, this is full-bodied and velvety, without being overly rich or concentrated, with dark chocolate nuances creeping in on the finish.

  5. Doubleback Cabernet Sauvignon

    2019 / 750 ml. | Item#56822

    VN9595 pts. - Vinous - Mar 2022
The dazzling 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is a stunning blend of nearly all Cabernet Sauvignon with 6% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot and 3% Cabernet Franc. Aged in 70% new French oak for 22 months before bottling, it exudes class on the nose, where tobacco leaf and mocha tones combine with green bell pepper and blackberry compote. The palate is already beautifully evolved, displaying a silky texture, ripe dark fruits and an appealing sense of salinity from the Rocks District fruit, and finishing exceedingly long. This is the elegant side of Doubleback and has some beautiful aging potential.
    RP94+94+ pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 31st Oct 2022
Marking the first vintage where they used a full-time vineyard crew, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon possesses a generous, juicy frame on the nose with aromas of blackberry, resinous purple flowers and elegant tones. Full-bodied, the mouthfeel is beautifully balanced with impressive weight without being bogged down by a hedonistic alcohol expression. It glides to a gracious and harmonious finish that commands attention. Bravo, this is fantastic juice! (Anthony Mueller)

  6. Clos Apalta

    2019 / 750 ml. | Item#59278

    VN9696 pts. - Vinous - Jun 2022
The 2019 Clos Apalta from Apalta, Colchagua, was aged for 24 months in 90% new French barrels. Dark purple in the glass. The complex, nuanced nose offers mild notes of mint, pyrazines, ash and ripe dark fruit such as blackberry and blueberry with hints of undergrowth and tobacco, cedar and other aromas from the aging process. In the mouth, it’s indulgent and compact initially with refined, slightly reactive, young tannins, an expansive flow and a rich palate that delivers herbal flavors before the sustained, fruity finish. The good year has helped to enhance the depth of an already accomplished red with a well-proven ripe style. (Joaquín Hidalgo)
    RP9595 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 31st Aug 2022
The 2019 Clos Apalta was produced with a blend of 70% Carmenere, 18% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Petit Verdot, extremely high in Carmenere and low in Cabernet Sauvignon in a ripe and warm year. It fermented with indigenous yeasts for four to five weeks, with manual punch-down of the cap, 67% in 7,500-liter French oak vats and 33% in new French oak barrels followed by malolactic in new French oak barrels. The élevage was 24 months in 90% new barrels and 10% second use. It’s powerful, big and ripe, with 15% alcohol and a pH of 3.57. It’s creamy and juicy, with very high ripeness and a notable absence of herbal notes; it’s oaky, smoky and decadent, coming through as luxurious, round, lush and velvety. It’s full-bodied and has abundant, small and powdery tannins. 103,944 bottles produced. It was bottled in June 2021. (Luis Gutiérrez)
    SP9595 pts. - Wine Spectator - Web only – 2023
Balances muscle and grace in a complex package, with geranium and floral peppercorn-accented red currant notes up front, while the core is densely packed with blackberry and plum flavors that swirl around spiced chocolate details and swell with lively acidity. Ends with mineral twinges, firming tannins and a final wave of kirsch and chocolate. Carmenère, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. 7. Hourglass Blueline Estate Cabernet Sauvignon

    2019 / 750 ml. | Item#56362

    RP95+95–97 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 30th Jun 2021
A blend of 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Petit Verdot, 3% Malbec and 2% Cabernet Franc, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Blueline Estate reveals an opaque purple-black color, exploding from the glass with bombastic scents of crème de cassis, blackberry pie and chocolate-covered cherries, plus hints of Indian spices, menthol and licorice, with a touch of sandalwood. Full-bodied, concentrated and impressively opulent, the palate features layer upon layer of exotic spices intertwined with black and blue fruits, velvety tannins and just enough freshness, finishing long, long, long.
    VN93+93–96 pts. - Vinous - Jan 2021
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Blueline is pure seduction. Racy and pliant, with terrific underlying structure, the 2019 is gorgeous today. Crème de cassis, lavender, cloves, mint and licorice add layers of nuance, but it is the wine’s forward, supple personality that carries the day. The 2019 is rich and deep, but not at all heavy.

  8. Kamen Cabernet Sauvignon

    2019 / 750 ml. | Item#59867

    VN9494 pts. - Vinous - Jan 2022
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is mostly Martini clone from the core of the estate. A heady, ample wine, the 2019 is endowed with striking opulence. Blackberry jam, chocolate, spice, new leather, licorice and mocha shows tremendous depth. Attractive floral notes emerge with a bit of aeration, adding brightness. The contours are remarkably soft for a young mountain Cabernet. These wines age beautifully, their youthful opulence notwithstanding, so I would not be in a rush here. (Antonio Galloni)
    SP9393 pts. - Wine Spectator - Jul 31, 2022
Alluring, with steeped plum and cassis notes cruising through, backed by lively licorice snap, bramble and sweet tobacco accents. A long echo of singed alder permeates on the finish. Best from 2023 through 2034. 2,250 cases made. (James Molesworth)

    2019 / 750 ml. | Item#57714

    JS9595 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Monday, February 7, 2022
Wonderful spices with pine needles and dark fruit. Full-bodied and silky with fine-grained tannins and beautiful length. Attractive vanilla undertones, but not overstated. Compact and creamy. Tight at the end. Needs two or three years to open. Try after 2025, but already attractive.
    RP94+94–96+ pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 18th Mar 2021
Sporting a deep purple-black color, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon needs a little coaxing to begin, soon unfurling to reveal notions of crushed black cherries, wild blueberries and fresh blackcurrant, plus suggestions of tar, wet slate, fertile loam and black truffles. The medium to full-bodied palate is charged with wonderful energy, delivering loads of black fruit layers and a firm, grainy frame plus and lively backbone, finishing long and mineral laced. (Lisa Perrotti-Brown)
    JD9494 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 12/21/2021
As for the three Cabernet releases, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate has a medium to full-bodied, balanced, layered, and elegant style that just begs to be drunk. Giving up lots of blue fruits, bouquet garni, tobacco, and cedar, it will keep for 15–20 years if stored properly. (Jeb Dunnuck)
    SP9393 pts. - Wine Spectator - May 31, 2022

  10. Maybach Amoenus

    2019 / 750 ml. | Item#57351

    JD9999 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 12/21/2021
First made in 2009 (the first vintage of Maybach was in 2004), the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Amoenus offers an incredible, full-bodied, pure, seamless style, and I suspect this is the finest vintage of this cuvée ever made. Gorgeous red and black fruits, toasted spice, brioche, violets, and flowers are just some of the nuances here, and it’s one of those wines that brings massive richness and depth while staying pure, seamless, and as graceful as they come. Don’t miss it! (Jeb Dunnuck)
    RP96+96–98 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 18th Mar 2021
A barrel sample, the 2019 Amoenus Cabernet Sauvignon displays a medium to deep garnet-purple color, leaping from the glass with vibrant scents of redcurrant jelly, black cherry compote, cassis and mulberries, plus suggestions of wild sage, black olives and damp soil. The medium to full-bodied palate delivers a wonderfully plush texture with bags of black and red berry preserves layers and just enough freshness, finishing long and earthy.

    2019 / 750 ml. | Item#60032

    JS9696 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Thursday, April 7, 2022
Blackberries and black currants with grape skin, lead pencil and pine cone. Full-bodied with round tannins and juicy fruit. Tamed tannins. Bright finish. Classy and authentic. Beautiful now, but will age beautifully.
    RP9494 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 31st May 2022
The only one of the Mt Brave wines that isn’t 100% varietal, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Mt. Veeder includes 4% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot and 1% Malbec. Offering hints of sage and lavender entwined among waves of cassis, this full-bodied wine may not be as broad or expansive in the mouth as the La Jota, but it also might be a touch juicier and longer on the finish. (Joe Czerwinski)
    SP9494 pts. - Wine Spectator - Oct 31, 2022
Very dark and winey in profile, with steeped plum, blackberry and boysenberry fruit flavors laced with licorice snap, bramble and apple wood. JD9898 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 11/3/2021
Tasted out of bottle, the 2019 Châteauneuf Du Pape is a stunning example of this estate as well as the vintage. Gorgeous kirsch, flowery incense, spice box, and garrigue-like notes define the nose, and it hits the palate with classic Clos des Papes elegance and finesse backed up by a great mid-palate, fabulous concentration, and a monster of a finish. Don’t miss this beauty. It can be enjoyed today with incredible pleasure or cellared for two decades. (Jeb Dunnuck)

This is a stunner, offering a gorgeous core of black tea–infused cassis, plum reduction and raspberry puree flavors. Additional black licorice, black tea and incense notes emerge alongside the fruit on the long, lush, seductive finish, which is harnessed by a graphite frame. A very confidently rendered wine. JD96+96–99 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 10/6/2020
Lovers of brilliant Châteauneuf du Pape should snatch up bottles of the 2019 Châteauneuf Du Pape Vieilles Vignes, which comes mostly from the northeastern sector of the appellation, from the La Janasse lieu-dit as well as from the La Crau lieu-dit. Revealing a deeper ruby/plum color to go with a spectacular bouquet of peppery garrigue, smoked meats, blackcurrants, black cherries, and truffly earth, this beauty hits the palate with full-bodied richness and has no hard edges, with building tannins and another blockbuster of a finish. While this wine is always rich and powerful, it’s the level of elegance and purity that really sets it apart in this vintage. Give bottles 2–3 years in the cellar and enjoy over the following 20+ years or more.
    SP9595 pts. - Wine Spectator - Dec 15, 2021

    VN9696 pts. - Vinous - Aug 2022
What I love most about the 2019 Pur Sang is its focus and precision; the compact, light bodied core carries masses of fragrance across the palate and beyond on the long finish. There’s clarity and freshness, with a thread of acidity and minerality pulling the wine through like a needle and thread. It is starting to show the very first hints of time in bottle with a hint of almond alongside the ripe melon notes and nettle tea character. Impressive stuff from this three-hectare parcel in the village of Saint Laurent l’Abbaye, about 5km northeast of the Dagueneau domaine. (Rebecca Gibb MW)
