  1. Champagne Bollinger La Grand Année

    2014 / 750 ml. | Item#57145

    VN9898 pts. - Vinous - Mar 2022
The 2014 La Grande Année is stunning. In fact, it is one of the best recent editions I can remember tasting. What comes through most is the wine’s sizzling energy and tension, qualities that aren’t often associated with Bollinger, where the Champagnes tend to show more breadth and volume. In 2014, readers will find a Grande Année built on linear intensity and drive.
    SP9797 pts. - Wine Spectator - Jun 30, 2022
Racy acidity drives this mouthwatering Champagne, enlivening the rich panoply of flavors. Features a fine and creamy mousse that’s still a lively springboard for aromas and flavors of crème de cassis, glazed tangerine, roasted hazelnut, ground coffee, pickled ginger and white blossoms. Long and satiny, with minerally salt and chalk notes gaining momentum on the lasting finish. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Disgorged July 2021. Drink now through 2037. 1,500 cases imported.
    RP9595 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 7th Mar 2022
Offering up complex aromas of crisp yellow orchard fruit, confit citrus, frangipane, walnuts, dried white flowers and subtle hints of iodine, Bollinger’s 2014 Brut La Grande Année is medium to full-bodied, pillowy and vinous, with an elegantly fleshy core of fruit that’s underpinned by racy acids and complemented by a pretty pinpoint mousse. Concluding with a long, chalky finish, this is a charming but precise Grande Année that’s more giving and demonstrative than its immediate predecessor, the 2012, but which attains a very similar level of quality in a more challenging vintage — testimony to the serious viticulture that underpins Bollinger’s contemporary excellence.

  2. Louis Jadot Corton-Pougets Grand Cru

    Domaine des Héritiers Louis Jadot
    2020 / 750 ml. | Item#58882

    SP9696 pts. - Wine Spectator - May 31, 2023
Intense and tightly wound, this red is firmly structured and energetic, featuring cherry, strawberry, stone and spice flavors, with the acidity and tannins lending support for future evolution. All the components are there, this just needs a few years to knit together. Best from 2027 through 2045. 258 cases made, 129 cases imported. (Bruce Sanderson)
    VN94+94–96 pts. - Vinous - Dec 2021
The 2020 Corton-Pougets Grand Cru is often one of Jadot’s strongest cards amongst the Côte de Beaune reds and this is no different. It has a captivating bouquet with earthy red fruit, graphite, just a faint hint of menthol that emerges with time. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit, lightly spiced with a dash of white pepper towards the sustained finish. It will require several years in bottle to show its best, but it will be worth waiting for. (Neal Martin)
    RP93+93–95 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 20th Jan 2022
The 2020 Corton-Pougets Grand Cru (Domaine des Héritiers Jadot) is excellent, mingling aromas of cherries and raspberries with notions of raw cocoa, orange rind, warm spices and smoke. Full-bodied, velvety and layered, it’s deep and concentrated, with powdery tannins, bright acids and a long, resonant finish. (William Kelley)

  5. Veuve Clicquot Vintage Rosé

    2012 / 750 ml. | Item#53194

    WS9393 pts. - Wine & Spirits - 12/21
This is a powerful Rosé, built with the addition of 13 percent red wine (pinot noir from Bouzy) and 11 percent of the blend aged in oak foudres. It starts off youthfully intense, with a smoky black-tea edge to the tannins. The wine is structured and savory, freighted with limestone earthiness until it grows bright and racy with air. This is built to last.
    SP9292 pts. - Wine Spectator - Dec 15, 2020
A crowd-pleaser for its fine balance and integration, offering a mouthwatering mix of wild strawberry and peach fruit, biscuit and salted almond flavors. Hints of anise, pink grapefruit zest and honey show on the creamy finish. Disgorged January 2019. Drink now through 2027.
    WE9292 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 12/1/2020
An attractive pale rosé color heralds a crisp, dry style of Champagne, ripe and now mature. Along with the structure and minerality that give the wine its shape and further potential, there is a hint of the toastiness to come. Drink the wine now, or even better, wait until 2021.

    2020 / 750 ml. | Item#58708

    RP89+89–91 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 20th Jan 2022
Notes of rose petals peonies, sweet red fruits and cinnamon introduce the 2020 Morey-Saint-Denis Village, a medium to full-bodied, rich and velvety wine that’s lively and seamless, with fine depth at the core and an expansive finish. (William Kelley)
    VN89+89–91 pts. - Vinous - Dec 2021
The 2020 Morey-Saint-Denis Village, which was taken from tank, has a vivid blackberry and bilberry-scented bouquet with a light marine influence emerging with time. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy black fruit, a fine-bored Morey with an appealing strictness towards the finish. Enjoy this over the next decade. (Neal Martin)

  7. Louis Jadot Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru

    Domaine Louis Jadot
    2014 / 750 ml. | Item#44043

    RP94+94–96 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 30th Dec 2015
The 2014 Chapelle Chambertin Grand Cru is maybe the surprise package this year. It comes from very old vines planted in 1921. It has a really quite beautiful bouquet with very pure, mineral-rich wild strawberry and raspberry fruit — precise and wonderfully focused. The palate is crisp and taut on the entry, fresh and tensile but with intense tart red cherry and strawberry fruit fanning out on the finish. Très grand cru! This comes highly recommended.
    VN93+93–95 pts. - Vinous - Jan 2016
Medium bright red, not hugely saturated. Brisk, high-pitched perfume of black cherry, rose petal, red licorice and spices. Juicy, bright and light on its feet, showing outstanding sneaky intensity to the very concentrated flavors of raspberry, minerals and rose petal. Very dense, classy and fine-grained grand cru with a strikingly long, rising finish. This makes the Clos Saint-Jacques seem a bit lean by comparison. These are Jadot’s oldest vines, says Barnier, and they virtually always yield about 35 hectoliters per hectare.

  8. Pol Roger Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill Champagne

    2013 / 750 ml. | Item#59285

    VN9797 pts. - Vinous - Mar 2022
The 2013 Brut Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill is fabulous. Rich and remarkably pure, the 2013 is super-expressive right out of the gate. Bright saline notes cut through a core of lemon confit, dried flowers, apricot, tangerine peel, mint and sage. As compelling as the 2013 is, it really needs more time to open a bit. There is a feeling of transparency here that is so alluring. The 2013 is a terrific example of power with no excess weight in Champagne. I loved it. Disgorged: July 2021. Dosage is 7 grams per liter. (Antonio Galloni)
    RP9696 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 15th Mar 2022
The 2013 Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill has turned out especially well, wafting from the glass with aromas of orange oil, confit lemon and crisp golden orchard fruit, complemented by subtle hints of brioche and clear honey. Medium to full-bodied, pillowy and seamless, with a deep core of fruit, bright acids and a beautifully refined mousse, this is an elegant, penetrating rendition of Churchill that stands out for its charm and effortlessness. 9. Champagne Louis Roederer Cristal Rosé

    2013 / 750 ml. | Item#57284

    RP9999 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 15th Apr 2021
A candidate for wine-of-the-vintage honors in Champagne, Roederer’s 2013 Cristal Rosé is showing brilliantly, unfurling in the glass with notes of crisp orchard fruit, white flowers, red berries, stone fruit, freshly baked bread and tangerine oil. Full-bodied, layered and multidimensional, the vintage’s bright girdling acids are amply cloaked in exuberant, expressive and notably concentrated fruit; so while this Cristal is as tensile and age-worthy as one would expect, it’s also impressively fleshy and generous given the year. Concluding with an intensely sapid finish, the 2013 isn’t as overtly structured as the muscular, tightly wound 2012: rather, it’s the 2013’s alliance of cut and flesh, precision and charm that’s so compelling this year. This is another banner vintage for what I consider the reigning champion of the region’s tête de cuvée bottlings, and it will be worth an effort to acquire.
    VN9898 pts. - Vinous - Nov 2021
The 2013 Cristal Rosé is searingly intense right out of the glass, just like the Blanc, except it has a bit more fleshiness because of the skin contact on the Pinot. Cristal Rosé has one of the best track records for aging in Champagne. I suspect the 2013 will join the ranks of the epic vintages, but it is painfully tight today. The blend is 55% Pinot Noir (from Aÿ) and 45% Chardonnay (from Avize and Mesnil) done in the classic Roederer infusion style in which Pinot Noir is vinified on the skins and then blended with Chardonnay to complete the fermentation. About 25% of the lots were done in oak, while malolactic fermentation was blocked.
    SP9797 pts. - Wine Spectator - Nov 30, 2021
Like an orchestra that melds the voices of many components into one compelling song, this bright rosé offers precision balance, seamlessly knitting an expressive range of ripe nectarine and raspberry fruit, Marcona almond, blood orange peel and candied ginger flavors with racy acidity and saline-laced minerality. Plush and creamy on the lasting finish. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Drink now through 2036. 154 cases imported.

  10. Domaine Bruno Clair Gevrey-Chambertin Clos du Fonteny Premier Cru

    2017 / 750 ml. | Item#54616

    VN92+92–94 pts. - Vinous - Jan 2019
The 2017 Gevrey-Chambertin Clos du Fonteny 1er Cru, which contains 40% whole bunch fruit, has a very detailed bouquet of crushed-stone-infused, minerally fruit; hints of incense and lavender emerge with time in the glass. The palate is fresh and vibrant right from the start, offering candied tart red fruit mixed with orange zest and citrus peel, wonderful definition and such vivacity on the finish that you will beg for another sip straight away. Might this surpass the Clos Saint-Jacques this year?

This graceful Champagne offers hints of smoke and toasted brioche that transition to patisserie apple and blackberry fruit, candied ginger and mandarin orange peel notes. Seamlessly knit and mouthwatering, with a minerally underpinning and a finely detailed, dotted bead. Lush and creamy on the vibrant, lasting finish. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Drink now through 2035. 12. Bergström Le Pré du Col Vineyard Pinot Noir

    2021 / 750 ml. | Item#60420

    RP9494 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 9th Mar 2023
Medium ruby, the 2021 Pinot Noir Le Pré du Col Vineyard has pretty scents of raspberry, cranberry, bergamot and mushroom, revealing more aromatic detail as it spends time in the glass. The light-bodied palate is chalky and refreshing with concentrated fruit and loads of botanical and floral accents on the long, layered finish. I love this fragrant, detailed expression! (Erin Brooks)
    SP9494 pts. - Wine Spectator - Jun 30, 2023
Brooding, with an appealing earthy, forest floor accent to the blueberry and dusky spice flavors as this builds tension and density toward medium-grained tannins. Hands off for now. Best from 2024 through 2034. 950 cases made. (Tim Fish)

  13. Champagne Andre Clouet Un jour de 1911…

    NV / 750 ml. | Item#46660

    RP93+93+ pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 22nd Dec 2010
The NV Grand Cru Cuvee 1911 emerges from the glass with the most haunting of perfumes. Sweet rose petal and jasmine are some of the nuances that emerge over time. Despite recent disgorgement, the purity of the fruit and the extraordinary elegance of the mousse are hard to miss. This is an exceptional, elegant version of the 1911 that should drink beautifully for years to come. The bottle I tasted needed quite a bit of air to open up, so readers should be patient with the wine at this stage. The current release of the 1911 is 100% Pinot Noir, 50% 2002 vintage and 50% a solera blend that dates back to 1998. This is Lot L05, disgorged October 4, 2010 and bottled with dosage of 6 grams per liter. Anticipated maturity: 2012–2020.
    WS9393 pts. - Wine & Spirits - December 1, 2010
While showing more fruit girth than most Champagnes, this also has the austere mineral acidity to sculpt it into fine proportion and fantastic, weightless length. Its pinot flavors come through in floral apricot and juicy peach, both powerful and harmonious. For Nantucket Bay scallops or belly tuna sashimi.

  14. Champagne Billecart-Salmon Cuvée Nicolas François Billecart Brut

    2006 / 1.5 L. | Item#53427

    RP9797 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 7th Dec 2018
Created in 1964 as a tribute to the house’s founder, the youngest release is the 2006 Millésime Brut Cuvée Nicolas François, a blend of 60% Pinot Noir from premier and grand crus from the Montagne de Reims and the Grande Vallée de la Marne and 40% Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs. Almost entirely fermented in stainless steel (only 5% was vinified in oak barrels) and aged for 11 years on the lees, this is a beautifully ripe and rich yet pure Champagne with ripe fruit flavors intermixed with chalky notes and brioche/nougat flavors. The palate is intense and concentrated in its rich fruit and substantial depth but also tight, highly elegant and perfectly balanced. The typical finesse of Billecart-Salmon is palatable as well as amazingly pure, with the persistent structure of a great Champagne. The 2006 already drinks dangerously well, but there is no need to hurry, this will go a long way. My sample is from lot L 193A815 45578 that was disgorged in April 2018. Tasted in November 2018.
    JS9696 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Sunday, January 7, 2018
A rounded vintage, with very attractive white peach, apricot and nectarine fruits as well as lemon and yellow grapefruit, dried flowers, orange rind and some clotted cream. The palate has an assertive, sturdy and punchy feel to it. Bright acidity that’s lime sorbet-like. Good length and plenty of fresh stone fruit flavors. Fleshy and lively. Drink this now.
    WE9595 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 12/1/2018
Named after the founder of the house, Nicolas François Billecart (who married Elisabeth Salmon), this wine is now at its peak. It is poised between fresh apple fruits and broader, riper maturity. This balance gives a ripe wine hinting at toast and almonds while still with a dry aftertaste. Drink now, although in 2019 it will be even better.
