  1. “’O Sole Mio” by Paul Lato

    Two Wolves Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc
    2021 / 750 ml. | Item#58452

    RP9595 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 8th Dec 2022
I can’t get enough of the 2021 Sauvignon Blanc O Sole Mio Two Wolves Vineyard from Paul Lato. It’s reminiscent of a Bordeaux Blanc with the aromatics turned way up: white peaches and kiwi are complemented by tones of acacia, fresh green herbs and beeswax. The medium-bodied palate is satiny and mouth coating with seamless acidity and generous flavor layers. It’s got the bass, mid and treble to drink well on its own or pair with a wide range of dishes at the table. This impressive Sauvignon Blanc was grown by Alecia Moore at Two Wolves in Santa Ynez from fruit planted in 2015. It was matured for eight months in concrete, stainless and neutral oak vessels, and 250 cases were made. (Erin Brooks)
    JD9595 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 8/29/2022
I love Paul’s Sauvignon Blanc, and his 2021 O Sole Mio Sauvignon Blanc Two Wolves Vineyard is a winner, offering a clean, crisp bouquet of white grapefruit, crushed citrus, white flowers, and honeyed minerality. Beautifully balanced, medium-bodied, and textured, with bright, vibrant acidity, it’s a brilliant effort that will be about as versatile as they come on the dinner table. I would drink bottles over the coming couple of years while the fruit is vibrant and fresh, yet I certainly wouldn’t be surprised to see this have an interesting evolution over the coming decade. (Jeb Dunnuck)
    VN9292 pts. - Vinous - Aug 2022
The 2021 Sauvignon Blanc Wolves Vineyard O Sole Mio Two is quite dense and powerful. Lemon confit, dried flower, chamomile and spice are dialed up. Readers will find a serious Sauvignon Blanc that will drink best at the dinner table. Vinification and aging in concrete, where the lees remain in suspension, give the wine much of its textural depth. (Antonio Galloni)

    2020 / 750 ml. | Item#59180

    RP92+92–94 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 15th Mar 2022
The 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is a barrel sample of free-run Cabernet Sauvignon (75%) and Petit Verdot (25%), matured for 16 months in 50% new oak. Still youthfully coiled, it hints at blueberry fruit with swirls of graphite, soy sauce and exotic spices. The medium-bodied palate is velvety in texture, savory in character and finishes with uplifting acidity. This is due to be bottled in May 2022. (Erin Brooks)

    2020 / 750 ml. | Item#58845

    RP9292 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 15th Mar 2022
Deep ruby-purple, the 2020 Pessimist is a blend of 62% Petite Sirah, 18% Syrah, 18% Zinfandel and 2% Lagrein, matured for 10 months in 60% new French oak. It’s scented of black cherries with touches of purple flowers, graphite and grilled meats, and the medium-bodied palate is grainy and fresh with a long, perfumed finish. This offers fantastic quality for the price. (Erin Brooks)
    JD9292 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 9/30/2021
Always a Petite Sirah-dominated wine, the 2020 Pessimist sports an inky purple color as well as a great, full-bodied style carrying wonderful blue fruits, spring flowers, spice, and vanilla aromas and flavors. It’s textured, has ripe tannins, loads of fruit, and is about as sexy and gulpable as they come. It’s one heck of a steakhouse red to enjoy over the coming 2–4 years. (Jeb Dunnuck)
    VN9191 pts. - Vinous - Jul 2022
Dark purple. Oak-spiced black and blue fruit, mocha and floral qualities on the nose. Broad and supple in texture, offering pliant blackberry, kirsch, vanilla and salty olive flavors that deepen steadily through the midpalate. Finishes long, smooth and spicy, with even tannins and resonating smokiness. 50% new French oak. (Josh Raynolds)

  7. Belle Glos Pinot Noir Las Alturas

    2020 / 750 ml. | Item#58471

    SP9191 pts. - Wine Spectator - Apr 30, 2022
Ripe and decadently spiced, with concentrated kirsch, dark plum and cola flavors that are well-knit. The plush, creamy finish packs Asian spice notes. Drink now through 2025. 9,885 cases made. (Kim Marcus)
    WE9090 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 4/1/2022
This is an extremely ripe and bold style of Pinot Noir, showing kirsch, cola, root beer and anise on the nose. The powerful extraction extends to the sip as well, where black cherry, pie crust and vanilla bean flavors sit atop a thick mouthfeel, with a touch of prune on the finish. (Matt Kettmann)

    2021 / 750 ml. | Item#58345

    RP9393 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 30th Dec 2022
The 2021 Discovery Cabernet Sauvignon is blended with 11% Petit Verdot, 8% Merlot and 1% Cabernet Franc and matured 10 months in 50% new French oak. Deep ruby, it has pure aromas of cassis, prosciutto, sage, thyme and pencil shavings with a classy frame of new oak spice. Medium-bodied, refreshing and supple, it offers generous, mineral-laced fruits and a long finish. This is easy to drink! (Erin Brooks)
    WE9191 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 12/31/2022
The nose on this wine is herbal with anise, oregano and pencil-shaving aromas, while blackberry and cocoa provide depth. Fennel pollen and roasted nut flavors meet with rich berry on the palate, where tannins are light but present. (Matt Kettmann)

  11. Alban Vineyards Central Coast Viognier

    2021 / 750 ml. | Item#58662

    RP9292 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 8th Dec 2022
Matured mainly in stainless steel and amphorae, the 2021 Viognier has a delicate perfume of fresh quince, jasmine and almonds. The medium-bodied palate is fresh, gently rounded and layered with detailed fruits and a very long, gently nutty finish. Neither lean nor tropical, it strikes a fine balance that makes it ideal for the table. (Erin Brooks)
    JD9292 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 9/26/2022
Looking first at the 2021 Viognier Central Coast (which is released under the Central Coast label but nevertheless comes all from the estate in Edna Valley), it has a vivid gold hue as well as a great nose of crushed citrus, honeysuckle, and assorted white flower and acacia notes. Medium-bodied, seamless, and elegant, with just a kiss of background toast and brioche, it’s a terrific expression of the variety and well worth seeking out. (Jeb Dunnuck)

    2021 / 750 ml. | Item#60539

    RP9595 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 30th Dec 2022
The 2021 White Blend, a blend of Albariño, Chardonnay, Viognier and Pinot Gris, has intense aromas of peach, lemongrass, fresh citrus, honey and flint, opening to new aromatic nuances with each return to the glass. The medium-bodied palate is bursting with perfumed fruit, loaded with juicy acidity, and it finishes with a touch of anchoring texture. It’s a delicious yet serious white with alluring generosity that keeps you coming back for more. (Erin Brooks)
    JS9292 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Monday, November 7, 2022
Really aromatic nose with lots of viognier perfume that gives it a floral, gingery note with lychee, citrus and nectarines to the nose. Medium-bodied and bone-dry on the palate with a crisp and fresh acidity. Chardonnay, albarino, viognier and pinot gris. Drink now. (James Suckling)

  13. J. Lohr Pure Paso

    2020 / 750 ml. | Item#59053

    WE9292 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 12/31/2022
This regionally respectful blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Sirah is satisfyingly rich and hedonistically attractive on all fronts. Smoke-kissed aromas of black cherry, purple flower and light cola on the nose lead into a palate that is full of ripe black cherry and cola flavors, yet with a firm structure. (Matt Kettmann)
    WS9191 pts. - Wine & Spirits - 12/22
A proprietary blend of cabernet sauvignon and petite sirah, this marries the two varieties well, with scents of spiced cacao and evergreen, cinnamon and black-plum scents. The flavors reflect the petite, as does the large payload of fine-grained tannins. For barbecue.
