  1. Tardieu-Laurent Tavel Vieilles Vignes

    2022 / 750 ml. | Item#60365

    JD9191 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 5/22/2023
The 2022 Tavel Vieilles Vignes (60% Grenache, 30% Cinsault, and 10% Syrah) has a classic Tavel deeper ruby hue as well as powerful aromatics of framboise, candied strawberries, white pepper, and hints of Provençal garrigue. Beautiful on the palate as well, it has plenty of richness, medium body, and a clean, dry finish. A terrific Tavel, it brings plenty of richness while staying light on its feet and balanced. 2. Domaine Grand Nicolet Rasteau Vieilles Vignes

    2017 / 750 ml. | Item#58683

    JD90+90–92 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 8/28/2018
The old vine cuvée is the 2017 Rasteau Vieilles Vignes, based on 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah, and 10% Mourvèdre that’s brought up in older barrels. Blackberries, toasted spice, smoked earth and licorice notes all flow to a rich, powerful, concentrated Rasteau that has ripe, present tannins and a great finish. It’s certainly going to be an outstanding wine. (Jeb Dunnuck)

Densely concentrated plum and black cherry flavors are muted by savory notes of crushed earth and tobacco and in this full-bodied blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. It’s a rounded, open-knit wine that’s showing glimpses of maturity, so it’s best to enjoy now–2024. (Anna Lee C. Iijima)

    JD9191 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 5/22/2023
The 2022 Luberon Les Becs Fins Rosé is terrific, with a pure, medium-bodied, textured, yet vibrant style as well as classic notes of watermelon, strawberries, and subtle floral nuances. It’s balanced and will shine on the dinner table as well as on its own. (Jeb Dunnuck)

  4. Domaine Font Sarade Vacqueyras Les Hauts de La Ponche

    2020 / 750 ml. | Item#58936

    JD9292 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 1/25/2022
Moving to the reds, the 2020 Vacqueyras Les Hauts De La Ponche is 50% Grenache and 25% each of Syrah and Mourvèdre. It actually reminds me of a Pomerol with its red and blue fruits as well as bouquet garni, damp earth, and floral nuances. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, I love its balance, and it has silky tannins and remarkable purity of fruit. Drink bottles over the coming 7–8 years. (Jeb Dunnuck)

  5. Alain Jaume Ventoux Les Gélinottes

    2019 / 750 ml. | Item#57454

    JD89+89–91 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 10/6/2020
From an appellation on the uptick, the 2019 Ventoux Les Gelinottes is another high-quality wine from this estate. Bright, medium-bodied aromas and flavors of black cherries and peppery, sappy herbs all emerge from this nicely textured, fresh, focused 2019 that has good concentration. The Ventoux is a cooler region, and this shows the wines more lively, fresh aromatics and focused texture. It will evolve for 5–7 years. (Jeb Dunnuck)
    RP8787 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 10th Sep 2020
The Maraschino cherry and garrigue-scented 2019 Ventoux Les Gelinottes is a juicy, mouthwatering effort. It’s medium-bodied, silky and fresh, with hints of pine resin and tree bark on the largely savory finish. Drink it over the next few years.

  7. Château de Trinquevedel Tavel

    2022 / 750 ml. | Item#60744

    RP9292 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 18th May 2023
From an encépagement of 60% Grenache, 18% Cinsault, 12% Clairette and 5% each Mourvèdre and Syrah, Trinquevedel’s 2022 Tavel offers aromas that hint at burnt rubber (decanting will help this), followed by raspberries, peaches and citrus. It’s full-bodied and generous on the palate, with a ripe, silky feel and a lingering finish, so there’s plenty to like here. Just remember to decant. (Joe Czerwinski)
