WE9292 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 9/1/2022 Bright aromas of pear, star fruit and the underside of a pineapple lead to medium-weight, plentiful, crystal-clear stone and tropical-fruit flavors. It’s vivid, refreshing and juicy with a long finish—as good of an unoaked Chardonnay as I’ve had. (Sean P. Sullivan)SP9090 pts. - Wine Spectator - Web only – 2022 A dynamic white, with spirited lemon and lime flavors that sail on the crisp, vibrant and steely finish. Drink now. 9,100 cases made. The palate is fresh and inviting, offering notes of green apple, crushed stones, and citrus peel. A delicious wine with a Chablis-like application, it is a great value to drink over the next couple of years. (Jeb Dunnuck)

SP9393 pts. - Wine Spectator - Web only – 2023 Aromatic, with terrific precision to the herbal details of white pepper, grapefruit, lemongrass and fresh-grated ginger. Packs a core of mouthwatering Meyer lemon, ruby grapefruit and green apple flavors showing a thread of savory salinity, with an intense, fresh finish. Drink now. 100,000 cases made, 70,000 cases imported. (MaryAnn Worobiec)WE8989 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 12/31/2022 Give this some aeration in glass for the attractive aromas of lime and grapefruit citrus, and white peach to float to the fore. There’s a soft green-herbal underbelly. The palate is crisp and slippery, those citrus notes on display until the finish. Still young at the time of tasting (Sept. ’22), this should find even more expression with another six months to a year in bottle. (Christina Pickard)
SP9292 pts. - Wine Spectator - Web only – 2023 Incredibly generous and harmonious, with ripe peach, tangerine and mango flavors that are fleshy and juicy, plus lime zest, makrut lime leaf and minerally details. WE9292 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 11/1/2022 The Port, with its luscious texture and black fruits, is impressive and dense. Black fruits are given richness and spice by the spirit and the raisin flavors. With its light structure, it is ready to drink. (Roger Voss)SP9191 pts. - Wine Spectator - Jul 31, 2022 Inviting, with plum cake and steeped raisin and plum notes laced with licorice snap and fruitcake accents. There’s a solid spine for support, but this is approachable now. Try decanting or even giving a touch more time in the cellar. Drink now through 2026. 50,000 cases made, 25,000 cases imported. (James Molesworth)WS9191 pts. - Wine & Spirits - 10/22 A fresh, schist-driven LBV, this wine’s tannins are accommodating in their softness, but still buzzing with mineral tension and energy. The cherry fruit coasts past the tannins, sweet and pleasing with the acidity of sheep’s milk cheeses.RP9090 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 4th Aug 2022 The 2017 Late Bottled Vintage Port is a field blend bottled in 2022 with a bar-top cork and 113 grams per liter of residual sugar after six years in cask. (There will be no 2016 Graham’s LBV.) Elegant in the mid-palate (unlike its sibling, the Dow’s), this also has good structure, but it is a much better balanced wine. The big fruit of this fine vintage shines through, rendering this rather delicious. This has persistence and focus, plus all that tasty fruit. You can’t go wrong. (Mark Squires)
VN9494 pts. - Vinous - Aug 2022 The 2020 Chardonnay Katherine’s Vineyard is bright and wonderfully saline, with plenty of mineral and savory accents. Citrus peel, mint, white pepper, chalk and dried flowers open nicely with a bit of time. There’s terrific energy and plenty of cut. Most of this fruit is sourced from the own-rooted vines first planted in 1971. (Antonio Galloni)SP9090 pts. - Wine Spectator - Mar 31, 2023 A supple and creamy white, with notes of nutmeg and toasted, salted hazelnut that complement lemon curd, fresh peach and crisp Fuji apple flavors. Drink now. 45,702 cases made. (MaryAnn Worobiec)WE9090 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 4/1/2022 Dried lime peel, seared lemon pith, white flower and a hint of grass show on the nose of this bottling. There’s an earthy, crushed rock element to the palate, where dried apple and herb flavors also arise. (Matt Kettmann)JD9090 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 8/29/2022 The 2020 Chardonnay Katherine’s Vineyard is terrific and shockingly good given the quantities produced. Burgundian-like aromas of stone fruits, chalky minerality, honeyed flowers, and brioche all define the nose, and it’s medium-bodied, with a supple, rounded texture, integrated acidity, and a great finish. (Jeb Dunnuck)
JS9090 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Sunday, December 11, 2022 Aromas of lemon curd, flint and crushed stones. Medium-bodied with bright acidity and a slightly nutty character. SP9292 pts. - Wine Spectator - Nov 15, 2022 Lightly toasty on the nose, less so on the palate, with a pure beam of raspberry coulis fruit flavors layered with a minerally underpinning of smoke and graphite, plus rich notes of fig cake, wild sage, ground coffee and red licorice. A fresh, classy version, with lightly chalky tannins emerging to firm the finish. Nero d’Avola and Frappato. Drink now through 2027. 6,650 cases made, 1,415 cases imported. (Alison Napjus)WS9191 pts. - Wine & Spirits - 06/22 Notes of dried thyme and white pepper weave through this wine’s juicy cherry and strawberry flavors, then the wine finishes with a bright spray of orange zest. It’s a lively, midweight wine, versatile for a range of lighter fare.VN9090 pts. - Vinous - Jun 2022 The 2020 Cerasuolo di Vittoria is dark and smoky, with black currants and crushed blueberries offset by a hint of animal musk. This is a soft and pure yet energetic expression, with a mix of tart wild berries and sour citrus tones adding tension. It tapers off long and floral, with a pleasant inner sweetness complicated by a staining of salty minerals. This is so incredibly fresh. The 2020 Cerasuolo di Vittoria is a blend of 60% Nero d’Avola and 40% Frappato. (Eric Guido)
WE9393 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 12/31/2022 Always experimenting, Erica and Kim Crawford (yes, that Kim Crawford, although he sold the famous winery with his namesake years ago) have used green-tea tannin extract in place of sulfur as an antimicrobial and preservative. It completely changes this famous wine style. Medium gold in color, it smells like honeycomb, pineapple turnover cake, lemon verbena, wild herbs and, yes, green tea. The palate is fresher than the nose and color imply. It’s dry with a gentle texture and lovely juiciness. Zesty fruit, ginger and a slight bite of tannin at the finish make for a characterful and highly food-friendly wine, more in the vein of a Chardonnay than a traditional Marlborough Sauvignon. (Christina Pickard)SP9090 pts. - Wine Spectator - May 31, 2023 Distinctive and aromatic, with floral details and touches of orange water, dried pineapple, peach cobbler, honeycomb and toasted herbs. Reveals serious freshness and verve from the crisp acidity on a supple frame, with lingering accents of candied ginger and nutty rooibos tea. Drink now. 2,000 cases imported. (MaryAnn Worobiec)
SP9191 pts. - Wine Spectator - Web only – 2023 Fragrant and light-footed, with precise cherry and cranberry flavors, which take on green tea and rose petal accents as this speeds toward vibrant tannins. Drink now through 2031. 9,160 cases made. (Tim Fish)
SP8888 pts. - Wine Spectator - Web only – 2023 Packs juicy, plump flavors of pear, pineapple and citrus, with touches of candied ginger and citrus peel and notes of fresh herbs that linger. Drink now. 16,000 cases made, 7,000 cases imported. (MaryAnn Worobiec)
