  1. Gramercy Cellars Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

    2017 / 750 ml. | Item#59948

    RP93+93+ pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 22nd Oct 2020
Dark ruby with soft purple highlights, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon has an impactful and precise nose of juicy plum, dark cherry and blackberry essence that waft with elegant French oak tones of vanilla, cinnamon and cardamom. Medium to full-bodied, the wine has a succulent mouthfeel with oak flavors that bind effortlessly to juicy, plump and dark blackberry essence with subtle flavors of dried herbs and bitter dark chocolate. With a long, drawn-out finish, the wine displays all of its complexities as it lingers on the palate with persistence and a tannic grip. This wine is about layers and texture. Give it a try! (Anthony Mueller)
    WE9292 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 12/1/2020
Fresh herb and flower aromas are out front, followed by notes of spice and plum. The palate is layered and restrained, with plenty of acidity and tannic structure supporting it all. It’s far from a big bruiser, but this is serious Cabernet, with impeccable balance. (Sean P. Sullivan)
    VN9191 pts. - Vinous - Dec 2020
Full, dark red. Cool aromas of redcurrant, tobacco leaf, licorice, black pepper and menthol. Very suave and smooth on entry, then pure but reticent in the middle palate, conveying subtle salinity to the flavors of dark berries, soil, graphite and licorice. No easy sweetness here! This classically dry, Old World-style Cabernet is still a bit cool and laid-back but should evolve gracefully. Finishes with firm but fine-grained tannins and subtle savory grip. But not quite the depth for an even higher rating. (Stephen Tanzer)
    WS9191 pts. - Wine & Spirits - 12/20
For this wine, Greg Harrington and Brandon Moss blend fruit from sources such as Phinny Hill and Dionysus with grapes from their estate vineyards. All about structure at the moment, this is very firm with a tannic spine. It needs time to get beyond its initial notes of violets and sealing wax and reveal the dark fruit within. Cellar.

    2017 / 750 ml. | Item#55513

    RP91+91+ pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 22nd Oct 2020
Dark ruby, the 2017 Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon has a bold and structured nose with layers of complex aromas of juicy cherry, blackberry, dusty plum, dried herbs, bitter dark chocolate and soft herbaceous green notes. Medium to full-bodied, the wine is full in flavor, displaying a balanced structure that gives pleasure with qualities of spiced black cherry, dusty plum skin and soft mocha expressions that continue to evolve on the persistent, elongated finish. Give this delicious and succulent wine a try.
    VN9191 pts. - Vinous - Dec 2020
Bright ruby-red. Complex scents of black cherry, currant, menthol, mocha, licorice and peppery herbs, plus a whiff of tobacco leaf; displays a stronger herbal element than the 2016. Plush, silky and easygoing on entry, then very ripe in the middle, with a suggestion of almost liqueur-like mocha/chocolate ripeness. Finishes with broad, serious, refined tannins that dust the palate and build quickly with air. This is softer than the 2016 but without quite that wine’s finesse and light touch. A very chocolatey-rich, dense wine with restrained sweetness and good savory character. Serious concentration.

  3. Andrew Will Ciel du Cheval Vineyard

    2011 / 750 ml. | Item#40514

    ST93+93+? pts. - Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar - Nov/Dec 2014
Bright red-ruby. Sexy aromas of blackberry, violet and licorice, along with a musky soil-driven nuance. Rich, thick and sweet; wonderfully plush and seamless for a Bordeaux blend from this cool year, with a texture of liquid silk. Already very showy, this superb wine’s serious building tannins promise a slow evolution in bottle. A great expression of this outstanding vineyard, and seemingly even richer in the early going than the superb 2010 was a year ago.
    RP9393 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 25th Jun 2014
One of the top wines in the vintage, the 2011 Ciel du Cheval Vineyard (52% Cabernet Franc and 48% Merlot that spent 21 months in 35% new French oak) offers thrilling amounts of fruit and texture, with full-bodied richness, excellent mid-palate depth and sweet tannin. Loaded with both red and black currant fruit, dried flowers, damp earth and hints of meatiness, it can be consumed anytime over the coming 10–12 years.

  4. Doubleback Cabernet Sauvignon

    2019 / 750 ml. | Item#56822

    VN9595 pts. - Vinous - Mar 2022
The dazzling 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is a stunning blend of nearly all Cabernet Sauvignon with 6% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot and 3% Cabernet Franc. Aged in 70% new French oak for 22 months before bottling, it exudes class on the nose, where tobacco leaf and mocha tones combine with green bell pepper and blackberry compote. The palate is already beautifully evolved, displaying a silky texture, ripe dark fruits and an appealing sense of salinity from the Rocks District fruit, and finishing exceedingly long. This is the elegant side of Doubleback and has some beautiful aging potential.
    RP94+94+ pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 31st Oct 2022
Marking the first vintage where they used a full-time vineyard crew, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon possesses a generous, juicy frame on the nose with aromas of blackberry, resinous purple flowers and elegant tones. Full-bodied, the mouthfeel is beautifully balanced with impressive weight without being bogged down by a hedonistic alcohol expression. It glides to a gracious and harmonious finish that commands attention. Bravo, this is fantastic juice! (Anthony Mueller)

  5. K Vintners King Coal

    Stoneridge Vineyard
    2018 / 750 ml. | Item#56221

    JD9898 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 5/6/2021
The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon / Syrah King Coal Stoneridge Vineyard is another beautifully layered, complex wine from the team at K Vintners, based on 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Syrah. It offers lots of classic Cabernet tobacco, cedary herbs, and graphite notes, with the Syrah offering a more plush, sexy, seamless style to the wine. Loaded with red and black fruits, toasted spice, and chocolate, full-bodied, concentrated, yet seamless and incredibly pure, this gorgeously layered blend has enough tannins to warrant short-term cellaring yet is going to evolve gracefully for 15–20 years in cold cellars. It’s a gorgeous wine. (Jeb Dunnuck)
    RP9494 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 31st Oct 2022
Made from 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Syrah, the 2018 King Coal Stoneridge Vineyard is marked with a deep ruby core and magenta rim before aromas of seductive brown baking spices waft from the glass with notions of plum preserves and blackberry skin. Full-bodied and with a bright mineral tension, the palate is focused and precise, offering a balanced and focused structure with succulent acidity and fine-grained tannins before ending with a dusty floral and sweet baking spice finish. The wine spent 22 months in almost 60% new French oak barriques. Just under 10,000 bottles were made. (Anthony Mueller)
    VN9393 pts. - Vinous - Mar 2022
The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon - Syrah King Coal is a blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and the remainder Syrah from the Stoneridge vineyard. The wine opens with scents of thyme-crusted roast lamb, black tea and blackberry cordial and suggestions of freshly tilled soil. The palate is very elegant and well-balanced, with a seamless texture and glorious length. Medium-bodied, dark fruit flavors collide with suggestions of bull’s blood, sagebrush and hints of kumquat. Wait for the exceedingly long finish.

  6. Andrew Will Sorella

    Champoux Vineyard
    2016 / 750 ml. | Item#54335

    JD9999 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - April 11, 2019
Flirting with perfection, the 2016 Sorella checks in as 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% each of Cabernet Franc and Merlot, and the balance Petit Verdot. Coming all from the Champoux Vineyard in the Horse Heaven Hills, its saturated purple color is followed by a La Mission Haut Brion-like bouquet of black and blue fruits, gravelly, minerality, smoke tobacco, and chocolate. Deep, multi-dimensional, full-bodied, and with beautiful complexity, it’s a magical wine as well as the finest wine from this estate to date. Bravo! (Jeb Dunnuck)
    RP96+96+ pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 30th Dec 2019
The 2016 Sorella is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petite Verdot. The plump, juicy nose exudes aromas of luxurious, elegant fruit characteristics of ripe blackberry and dark plum along with a layered core of oak and a structured floral bouquet. Exciting and thought-provoking on the full-bodied palate, fruit and oak spices radiate with the precision and focus of world-class wine, building to a plushier, fruit-forward expression on the mid-palate yet showing a mineral focus. The finish is long and winding, with layers that continue to evolve in the mouth, unfolding to a generous and intricate lingering expression. Only 472 cases were made, and it will be your lucky day if you can add some of this stellar wine to your cellar. Bravo!
    VN91+91+ pts. - Vinous - Dec 2019
Bright ruby-red. Brooding scents of blackberry, blueberry, licorice, menthol and graphite. Dense but sharply delineated and penetrating, with black and blue fruit flavors conveying terrific energy and juiciness that mask the wine’s thickness. Still, this can’t quite match the more Merlot-based Champoux Vineyard blend for density. This wine boasts serious Cabernet Sauvignon structure, finishing with lovely mounting violet lift and length. Firmly tannic but not hard. This, too, should evolve slowly but even today it’s balanced and enjoyable. I suppose it’s a bit more tannic and less pliant than the Andrew Will ’16s that contain more Merlot, but none of these wines lack for definition or spine.

  7. L’Ecole No. 41 Perigee

    Seven Hills Vineyard
    2017 / 750 ml. | Item#57528

    JS9595 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Monday, June 1, 2020
This is a deep, richer palate with currants, flowers, white chocolate and some almonds. It’s full-bodied with plush tannins and a chewy finish. Yet, it’s so attractive and pretty. A blend of 50% cabernet sauvignon, 21% merlot, 11% cabernet franc, 9% petit verdot and 9% malbec. Needs more time. Try after 2022.
    JD9494 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 4/15/2020
Based on 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Merlot, 11% Cabernet Franc, the rest Petit Verdot and Malbec, the 2017 Perigee Estate Seven Hills Vineyard offers more classic cassis, tobacco, and sappy herbs as well as a solid sense of minerality. Full-bodied, concentrated, and beautifully balanced as well as elegant, give it 3–5 years of bottle age and enjoy over the following two decades or more. (Jeb Dunnuck)
    VN9393 pts. - Vinous - Dec 2020
Bright, saturated ruby-red. Blackberry, boysenberry, licorice and minerals on the nose, lifted by topnotes of Tellicherry pepper and violet. Very suave, silky and smooth, conveying enticing sweetness to its refined dark berry, spice and mineral flavors. Terrific energy and delineation here, and long and suave on the rising finish, where the dusty tannins are beautifully buffered by the wine’s material. A lovely showing, even if this very juicy wine is still a bit youthfully imploded. This may be the most floral of the current red wine releases from L’Ecole.
    RP92+92+ pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 22nd Oct 2020
The 2017 Perigee Seven Hills Vineyard Estate is a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Merlot, 11% Cabernet Franc and 9% each of Petit Verdot and Malbec. The nose opens to an expressive fruit core, highlighting juicy dark red fruit and spiced blackberry essence. Aromas of cinnamon-spiced dark cherries, sweet plums and a dusty minerality sway out of the glass with elements of an exotic floral bouquet. Full-bodied, the wine shows layers and a delineated, fresh frame with succulent tannins, offering a balanced structure across the mid-palate. The mouthfeel shows finesse with a purity of fruit before lingering with persistence, vibrancy and a subtle red spice reflection over the elongated finish. This is delicious juice.
    WE9191 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 8/1/2020
Cabernet Sauvignon makes up half of this wine, with the rest Merlot (21%), Cabernet Franc (11%), Petit Verdot (9%) and Malbec (9%). Brooding aromas of cherry, plum, mocha, graphite, cherry and herb lead to medium-bodied fruit flavors, backed by tart acidity and firm, grainy tannins. The structure is lovely. It needs some time to stretch its legs, with the tannins giving a bigger impression than they often do from this vineyard. Best after 2024.

    JS9393 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Friday, April 22, 2022
Aromas of candied ginger, baked pear and fresh herbs. Full-bodied with a lovely, oily texture. Layered flavors of chamomile and lavender at the beginning, but turns toward fresh cream and then the note of candied ginger on the nose returns. Linear and balanced. Drink now.
    VN9090 pts. - Vinous - Mar 2023
The 2020 Chardonnay CH lifts from the glass with a confectionary mix of candied apple, baking spice and mint. This is round and opulent in feel with cooling acidity to balance, as the 2020 traverses spectrums of tropical melon and ripe orchard fruits. It cleans up beautifully through the finish, leaving a twang of saline-minerality, as pretty inner florals slowly fade. (Eric Guido)
    RP8989 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 31st Oct 2022
A golden yellow color in the glass, the 2020 Ch Chardonnay offers aromas of blown sand, yellow apple and pastry cream with elements of popcorn kernel and sweet citrus. Medium-bodied, the wine offers a delightful mineral and textural drive over the mid-palate before expressing a clean and delightful finish that delivers at a great price. The wine rested in 25% new French oak. Just over 400,000 bottles were produced. (Anthony Mueller)

    Northridge Vineyard
    2013 / 750 ml. | Item#44174

    RP9797 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 29th Jun 2016
Reminding me of a Northern Rhone Syrah from the Le Meal lieu-dit on Hermitage Hill, the 2013 Syrah The Hidden Northridge Vineyard comes entirely from the Northridge Vineyard on the Wahluke Slope, was fermented with 100% whole clusters and aged in mostly neutral oak. It offers thrilling notes of black raspberries, toasted bread, caramelized meats and licorice in a full-bodied, ultra-pure, supple, incredibly sexy style. Possessing building, fine tannin, it needs a lengthy decant if drinking anytime soon, but this utterly seamless, perfectly balanced beauty will offer upward of two decades of overall longevity.
    WE9595 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 2/1/2017
Aromas of pomegranate, black fruit, herb and barrel spice lead to rich seamless palate-coating dark-fruit flavors. It’s hedonistic but retains a sense of balance along with an unabashed deliciousness.
    SP9393 pts. - Wine Spectator - Web only – 2016
Broad, generous and opulent, with raspberry, black cherry and rhubarb flavors that maintain momentum into a long and supple finish, picking up hints of dill and black tea. Best from 2018 through 2023. 760 cases made.

    2020 / 750 ml. | Item#59738

    RP9898 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 11th May 2023
The 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Reserve bursts with an impressive nose and was made with the addition of 10% Petit Verdot and 3% Merlot. There are healthy and seductive aromas on the nose along with succulent black plum, spiced cherry compote and blackberry skin before elegant brown baking spices lift out of the glass with resinous red and purple flowers. Full-bodied, big and juicy, with plenty of oak, the palate offers a fine mineral tension, harmoniously balanced fine-grained tannins and succulent acidity. The wine continues to somersault and uncoil across the bold, long-lingering and generous finish that leaves behind a firm tannic edge. Give this at least two more years in the bottle before opening, but I suspect it will be better with three. Bravo! (Anthony Mueller)
    JS9292 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Sunday, June 4, 2023

    2015 / 750 ml. | Item#54334

    RP9797 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 29th Jun 2018
The 2015 Champoux Vineyard is stunning, busting from the glass with a precocious bouquet of ripe cherries, minty blackberries, violets and anise. On the palate, it’s full-bodied, layered and almost voluptuous, with velvety, melting tannins that frame a succulent core of beautifully delineated fruit. The finish is long and fragrant. Infinitely seductive and exquisitely balanced, I struggle to remember an Andrew Will Champoux that was quite this delicious straight out of the gates, yet the wine clearly has the potential to evolve for two decades. The 2015 is a blend of 51% Merlot, 32% Cabernet Franc, 12% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Petit Verdot.
    JD9696 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - April 5, 2018
The 2015 Champoux is a beauty. Concentrated, rich, full-bodied and layered, it offers a rocking nose of blackcurrants, graphite, lead pencil, iodine, and salty minerality. Ripe, rounded, and opulent, yet with good freshness and purity, it needs 3–4 years of bottle age and will keep for two decades. (Jeb Dunnuck)

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot, 11% Malbec, and the rest Cabernet Franc that’s from a mix of sites outside of Walla Walla. Aged 22 months in 57% new French oak, its deep purple hue is followed by a great nose of ripe cassis, graphite, spring flowers, and spicy oak. Rich, medium to full-bodied, and beautifully balanced with ripe tannins, this is a terrific Cabernet readers will love. It will benefit from just a few years in the cellar and keep for 15–20 years. (Jeb Dunnuck)
    RP9393 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 31st Oct 2022
Dark magenta in the glass, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is broad and generously layered with a dense core of dark red and black fruit essences. Full-bodied, the wine is juicy yet firm with fine-grained tannins that grip the gumline before lingering long over the spicy, focused finish. It’s a broad-shouldered wine that will drink better with additional time in the bottle. The wine rested for 18 months in barrel, 50% new French oak, and will please Napa Cabernet drinkers. Only 2,000 cases were produced. (Anthony Mueller)
    VN9393 pts. - Vinous - Mar 2023
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is dark and rich in the glass, with a deeply alluring mix of blueberry and cherry sauce complemented by hints of mocha and tobacco leaf. While ripe in style and fruit-centric, this boasts a core of stimulating acidity and minerals that balances out the style beautifully, as exotic inner florals cascade throughout. The 2019 leaves a web of sweet tannins to linger while finishing remarkably fresh, as echoes of violet pastille and spiced citrus fade. This is a wonderfully balanced blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot, 11% Malbec and 1% Cabernet Franc, where each variety really adds to the final result. Well done. (Eric Guido)

    2010 / 750 ml. | Item#38832

    RP9595 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 30th Jun 2013
Tasted from bottle, the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Grand Ciel is 100% Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon that spent 18 months in 100% new French oak. Full-bodied, powerful and concentrated, it possesses brilliantly rich aromas and flavors of smoked game, black currant, graphite, tobacco and crushed stone-like minerality. More concentrated, backwards and masculine than the 2011, it will require 3–4 years of cellaring and impress for upwards of two decade, minimum. Drink 2017–2030.
    ST9494 pts. - Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar - Nov/Dec 2013
Dark berries and minerals on the vibrant, sweet nose. Intensely flavored but light on its feet, conveying an impression of serious power without any excess weight. Dark berry fruit flavors are complicated by subtle soil tones and strong graphite minerality. This wonderfully concentrated, seamless wine finishes with noble tannins and outstanding palate-staining persistence. A good bit of this material is declassified into DeLille’s D2 and Four Flags bottlings. Wonderfully suave Washington cabernet for extended cellaring.
