This stylish white has a gewurz-like spice along with flavors of ripe pineapple and guava. An herbaceous celery-leaf herbal note keeps the wine focused and the finish lean.

This is no “baby.” This bold, rich Cabernet Sauvignon-driven blend has grown-up elegance, from its aromas of dewberries, dark raspberries, saline and rose petals, to its Mikhail Baryshnikov-like balance. In between, look for flavors like blackberry fruit jellies, thyme and dark chocolate. (Michael Alberty)

    WE8989 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 12/31/2022
Cabernet Sauvignon plus a small percentage of Merlot and Syrah adds up to a big “bang for the buck” experience. Black-cherry, dark-chocolate and orange aromas are flanked by wee bits of well-worn leather and roasted red bell pepper. The wine has grippy tannins and soft acidity to match up with gobs of blackcap-raspberry and blueberry flavors. Little touches of cedar and mocha powder add interest. (Michael Alberty)
    WS8888 pts. - Wine & Spirits - 12/22
Dark and woolly with black-cherry and tobacco flavors and modest wood notes, this is generous and complex for its price.

The aromas fascinate in notes of raspberry, thistle, cranberry, blueberry, herbs and coffee. Plump, palate-coating flavors follow. There’s a lovely texture and purity to this wine, while it remains light on its feet. Raspberry and blueberry notes linger on the finish.
    JD9191 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 5/6/2021
Lots of juicy berry fruits, briary herbs, pepper, and violet notes emerge from the 2019 Sinister Hand, Washington State’s take on a terrific Côtes du Rhône. Medium-bodied, balanced, and just straight- up delicious, drink this charming, balanced Syrah blend (there’s 18% each of Grenache and Mourvèdre with smaller amounts other varieties) over the coming 4–6 years. This wine is consistently one of the best values in the world, and the latest vintage does not disappoint. The aromas enchant, with notes of Nestea Lemon Iced Tea, peach, citrus, lime leaf and honeysuckle. Dry, straight-down-the fairway lime and other citrus flavors follow. The balance is impressive. (Sean P. Sullivan)
    WS8888 pts. - Wine & Spirits - 10/22
Ste. Michelle’s Dry Riesling is a benchmark for the category, lean with scents of lemon and a hint of peach, flavors that are juicy and light, with refreshing acidity for an afternoon sip.

  6. Intrinsic Cabernet Sauvignon

    2019 / 750 ml. | Item#59893

    VN9191 pts. - Vinous - Mar 2023
The 2019 Caberret Sauvignon wafts up with a pretty bouquet, showing rosy florals, hints of sage and crushed raspberries. It soothes the senses with the silkiest textures as a potent wave of red fruit washes across the palate, leaving a staining of primary concentration. An herbal flourish lasts through the finish as this tapers off lightly structured and with a peppery tinge. There’s a lot of balanced pleasure to be found within this Washington State Cabernet. Enjoy it over the coming three to five years. (Eric Guido)
    JS9191 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Wednesday, April 12, 2023
This has a youthful and attractive nose of blackcurrants, mulberries, olives and anise. It’s full-bodied and textured, with firm yet ripe tannins and chewy black fruit. 90% cabernet sauvignon, 5% cabernet franc and 5% malbec with extended maceration for about 9 months on skins. Drink now or hold.
    WE9090 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 12/31/2022
The wine’s sweet aromas of cherry-flavored Dum-Dums, the mini-lollipop that rules Halloween, rhubarb jam and plumeria are a nice preview of the flavors to come. The creamy mouthfeel delivers all the ripe black cherries your palate can handle, along with earthy flavors of chopped raw walnuts and Dutch-process cocoa powder. (Michael Alberty)

    WE8787 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 12/31/2022
This hedonistic treat is a well-executed take on the buttery-creamy style of Chardonnay. The wine features coconut and warm apple-pie aromas, with a splash of rose water on the nose. Flavors such as lemon butter, spicy cinnamon and caramel apple fill every nook and cranny of the olfactory system. (Michael Alberty)

    2018 / 750 ml. | Item#56703

    WE9393 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 3/1/2022
A blend of 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Merlot and 1% Syrah, this is a side project for actor Kyle MacLachlan, and it’s a show stealer. Aromas of dark roasted coffee bean, vanilla, black cherry, cedar and spice lead to sumptuous, textured, layered dark fruit and spice flavors. It’s flat-out delicious, putting a premium on hedonism. It roars out of the gates but will only get better with some time in the cellar. What a value.

    Artist Series #27
    2018 / 750 ml. | Item#57734

    JD94+94+ pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 5/6/2021
The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Artist Series is a gem and well worth seeking out. Based on 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, and the rest Petit Verdot and Syrah, brought up in 28% new oak, it offers an outstanding nose of blackcurrants, toasted spice, chocolate, and bouquet garni. Concentrated, firm and structured, with medium to full-bodied richness, it’s another age-worthy wine in the lineup that needs to be forgotten for 3–5 years. (Jeb Dunnuck)
    VN9292 pts. - Vinous - Dec 2020
Bright ruby-red. Pure, youthfully medicinal scents of cassis, boysenberry, blueberry, licorice, menthol, bitter chocolate and pungent herbs. Brisk, delineated, high-pitched and tightly wound, with classic medicinal Cabernet Sauvignon character in the early going. Dominant flavors of cassis, licorice, menthol and dark chocolate. I did not taste this bottle alongside its 2017 sibling, but the two wines strike me as quite similar in style and quality. This one is perhaps a bit sweeter and may open sooner but is still quite firm and tactile on the finish. (Stephen Tanzer)
    JS9292 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Monday, July 12, 2021
A fragrant nose of blackcurrants, pine, rosemary, incense and sandalwood. It’s medium-to full-bodied with firm, fine-grained tannins. Structured and polished with a fresh finish. Drink from 2022.
    WE9090 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 4/1/2022
This wine isn’t ready to reveal itself right now, with locked up aromas of chocolate, cocoa, cherry and spice. Coffee and cherry flavors follow. Give it some additional time in the cellar to blossom.
