WE9393 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 5/1/2023 This is no “baby.” This bold, rich Cabernet Sauvignon-driven blend has grown-up elegance, from its aromas of dewberries, dark raspberries, saline and rose petals, to its Mikhail Baryshnikov-like balance. In between, look for flavors like blackberry fruit jellies, thyme and dark chocolate. (Michael Alberty)
WE8989 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 12/31/2022 Cabernet Sauvignon plus a small percentage of Merlot and Syrah adds up to a big “bang for the buck” experience. Black-cherry, dark-chocolate and orange aromas are flanked by wee bits of well-worn leather and roasted red bell pepper. The wine has grippy tannins and soft acidity to match up with gobs of blackcap-raspberry and blueberry flavors. Little touches of cedar and mocha powder add interest. VN9191 pts. - Vinous - Mar 2023 The 2019 Caberret Sauvignon wafts up with a pretty bouquet, showing rosy florals, hints of sage and crushed raspberries. It soothes the senses with the silkiest textures as a potent wave of red fruit washes across the palate, leaving a staining of primary concentration. An herbal flourish lasts through the finish as this tapers off lightly structured and with a peppery tinge. There’s a lot of balanced pleasure to be found within this Washington State Cabernet. Enjoy it over the coming three to five years. WE9393 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 3/1/2022 A blend of 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Merlot and 1% Syrah, this is a side project for actor Kyle MacLachlan, and it’s a show stealer. Aromas of dark roasted coffee bean, vanilla, black cherry, cedar and spice lead to sumptuous, textured, layered dark fruit and spice flavors. It’s flat-out delicious, putting a premium on hedonism. It roars out of the gates but will only get better with some time in the cellar. What a value.

JD94+94+ pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 5/6/2021 The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Artist Series is a gem and well worth seeking out. Based on 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, and the rest Petit Verdot and Syrah, brought up in 28% new oak, it offers an outstanding nose of blackcurrants, toasted spice, chocolate, and bouquet garni. Concentrated, firm and structured, with medium to full-bodied richness, it’s another age-worthy wine in the lineup that needs to be forgotten for 3–5 years. (Jeb Dunnuck)VN9292 pts. - Vinous - Dec 2020 Bright ruby-red. Pure, youthfully medicinal scents of cassis, boysenberry, blueberry, licorice, menthol, bitter chocolate and pungent herbs. Brisk, delineated, high-pitched and tightly wound, with classic medicinal Cabernet Sauvignon character in the early going. Dominant flavors of cassis, licorice, menthol and dark chocolate. I did not taste this bottle alongside its 2017 sibling, but the two wines strike me as quite similar in style and quality. This one is perhaps a bit sweeter and may open sooner but is still quite firm and tactile on the finish. (Stephen Tanzer)JS9292 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Monday, July 12, 2021 A fragrant nose of blackcurrants, pine, rosemary, incense and sandalwood. It’s medium-to full-bodied with firm, fine-grained tannins. Structured and polished with a fresh finish.
