  1. Champagne Billecart-Salmon Brut Rosé

    NV / 750 ml. | Item#30652

    WE9494 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 12/1/2013
Such an elegant, ethereal wine, this orange-pink wine is dry and crisp with fruity raspberry flavor at the fore. This particular bottling could improve for a year, but makes a great food Champagne now.
    SP9393 pts. - Wine Spectator - Nov 15, 2016
A lovely rosé in an almost vinous style, with mouthwatering acidity and a fine, lacy mousse carrying appealing flavors of ripe raspberry, white cherry fruit, star anise, mandarin orange peel and honeysuckle. Lightly chalky on the lasting finish. Enjoy with food. Drink now through 2020.
    ST9191 pts. - Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar - Nov/Dec 2006
Pale, orange-tinged pink. Vibrant, spicy aromas of orange peel, ruby-red grapefruit and floral honey. Focused and pure, with juicy orange and tangy rhubarb flavors and a lush, velvety texture. This is weightier than previous bottlings of this cuvee, but has the usual precision and lift expected by long-time fans of this rose. Finishes with juicy citrus flavors and a late mineral jolt.
    RP9090 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 1st Dec 2010
The NV Brut Rosé emerges from the glass with the essence of freshly cut flowers, berries and minerals in a mid-weight, gracious style. It shows gorgeous inner perfume, along with persistent notes of chalkiness that frame the long, sublime finish. Year in, year out, this estate’s NV Brut Rosé is one of the most consistently outstanding wines in the region.

  2. Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label Brut Champagne

    NV / 750 ml. | Item#72306

    SP9191 pts. - Wine Spectator - Nov 15, 2018
A well-cut and lacy Champagne in an elegant, aperitif style, with hints of chalk and graphite underscoring the lively Honeycrisp apple, cherry and lemon curd flavors. Offers a sleek, minerally finish. Drink now through 2021.
    WE9090 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 12/1/2013
One of the most familiar of Champagnes, the Yellow Label is finely made — a fruity while structured wine. It has both fresh and fragrant fruit as well as richness, a soft, creamy texture and bright acidity. There is no sense in bottle aging here — drink this wine because of its crispness.
    WS9090 pts. - Wine & Spirits - December 1, 1997
The quality of this non-vintage blend is impressive, from it integrated Champagne scent to its creamy texture that carries aromas and flavors of green apples, white flowers, and fine minerality. It all comes together in the finish, where the opulent, pillowy texture meets the crispness of the mousse and light acidity.
    RP8787 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 31st Dec 2008
The NV Brut offers up attractive notes of smoke, tar, rich ripe pears and flowers in a medium to full-bodied style. There is a good measure of persistence, although the wine could use a little more polish on the finish. This is Lot 14009913, disgorged between December, 2007 and January, 2008. Anticipated maturity: 2008–2010.
    ST8787 pts. - Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar - Nov/Dec 2011
Bright yellow-gold. Poached pear and candied citrus fruits on the nose, which shows notes of spun sugar and toffee. Sweet orchard and pit fruit flavors are slightly cloying and loose-knit, with slow-mounting spiciness. Finishes on a warm note, with decent length and a suggestion of candied orange.

  3. Pierre Péters Cuvée de Réserve Blanc de Blancs

    NV / 750 ml. | Item#53286

    WS9696 pts. - Wine & Spirits - 12/21
Based on the 2018 vintage, this wine includes reserves dating back to 1988. Most of the components come from Le Mesnil-sur-Oger; all grow on chalk. The wine seems to layer that chalk’s seabed heritage into beautiful richness, as it combines different parcels aged in stainless steel, oak barrels or concrete. “It reminds me of architecture,” Tina Vaughn of NYC’s The Simone said. “The smell of a building site—granite, concrete, steel beams. Very Ayn Rand.” Or is it the architecture of ancient fossilized soil, along with a softer impression, one that made me smile at the glory of Champagne.
    SP9292 pts. - Wine Spectator - Nov 30, 2020
Sleek and mouthwatering, with a fine, satiny mousse and a fresh panoply of crunchy pear, grapefruit sorbet, pickled ginger and spring blossom notes. Bright and finely knit, with rich hints of toast and mineral echoing on the finish. Disgorged November 2019. Drink now through 2025.
    VN9191 pts. - Vinous - Nov 2020
The NV Blanc de Blancs Cuvée de Réserve is such a gorgeous wine. Bright, mineral and savory, with attractive tropical accents, the Cuvée de Réserve offers striking nuance and tons of class. This release is based on 2016, with reserve wines that go back to 1988. Partially blocked malolactic fermentation helps preserve a measure of freshness, but what impresses most is the wine’s total sense of balance. For readers who want to know what the Côte des Blancs is all about, without spending the money for an elite cuvée, this is the place to start. In a word: impressive. Dosage is 6.5–7 grams per liter. Disgorged: March, 2020.
    WE9090 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 12/1/2020

  5. Champagne Agrapart & Fils 7 Crus Extra-Brut

    NV / 750 ml. | Item#58208

    VN9393 pts. - Vinous - Nov 2018
Agrapart’s NV Brut 7 Crus is simply gorgeous. Rich, creamy and inviting, the 7 Crus hits all the right notes. The 7 Crus doesn’t quite have the focus or energy of the top wines here, but it is incredibly delicious, approachable and relatively easy to find. This may very well be the finest release of the 7 Crus I have ever tasted since this cuvée debuted a few years ago. The 7 Crus is 90% Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Noir. This release is equal parts 2015 and 2014. Don’t miss it! Dosage is 7 grams per liter. Disgorged: May 2018. (Antonio Galloni)

    SP9292 pts. - Wine Spectator - Dec 15, 2019
Lithe and vibrant, this graceful Champagne is driven by well-knit, racy acidity, carrying flavors of ripe black cherry, grated ginger, toast point and mineral on the satiny mousse. Drink now through 2022. 222,500 cases made, 29,000 cases imported.
    WE9191 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 12/1/2015
The quality of this nonvintage wine from Piper-Hedsieck is a sign of the increasing quality of the range as a whole. It’s a wine that hovers comfortably between freshness and maturity, between a soft dosage and crisp fresh apples. This bottling is ready to drink.
    RP8888 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 31st Dec 2008
Ripe pears, crisp green apples and flowers emerge from Piper-Heidsieck’s NV Brut Cuvée. This medium-bodied non-vintage Champagne offers excellent persistence and a long, clean finish. It is a very solid effort at this level. The Brut Cuvée is 55% Pinot Noir, 30% Pinot Meunier and 15% Chardonnay. This is lot L070921 12253, disgorged December, 2007. Anticipated maturity: 2008–2010.
    ST8888 pts. - Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar - Nov/Dec 2005
Medium straw. Light gold, with a strong mousse. Smoky, rich and floral on the nose, with suggestions of orange peel, pear and jasmine. Nicely concentrated and moderately weighty, with flavors of lemon cream and buttered toast. Quite long, with the butter and lemon notes resonating.
    WS8686 pts. - Wine & Spirits - December 1, 2006
Simple, ripe and smooth, this is a gentle, soft style of Champagne for parties.

  7. Champagne Bollinger La Grand Année

    2014 / 750 ml. | Item#57145

    VN9898 pts. - Vinous - Mar 2022
The 2014 La Grande Année is stunning. In fact, it is one of the best recent editions I can remember tasting. What comes through most is the wine’s sizzling energy and tension, qualities that aren’t often associated with Bollinger, where the Champagnes tend to show more breadth and volume. In 2014, readers will find a Grande Année built on linear intensity and drive.
    SP9797 pts. - Wine Spectator - Jun 30, 2022
Racy acidity drives this mouthwatering Champagne, enlivening the rich panoply of flavors. Features a fine and creamy mousse that’s still a lively springboard for aromas and flavors of crème de cassis, glazed tangerine, roasted hazelnut, ground coffee, pickled ginger and white blossoms. Long and satiny, with minerally salt and chalk notes gaining momentum on the lasting finish. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Disgorged July 2021. Drink now through 2037. 1,500 cases imported.
    RP9595 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 7th Mar 2022
Offering up complex aromas of crisp yellow orchard fruit, confit citrus, frangipane, walnuts, dried white flowers and subtle hints of iodine, Bollinger’s 2014 Brut La Grande Année is medium to full-bodied, pillowy and vinous, with an elegantly fleshy core of fruit that’s underpinned by racy acids and complemented by a pretty pinpoint mousse. Concluding with a long, chalky finish, this is a charming but precise Grande Année that’s more giving and demonstrative than its immediate predecessor, the 2012, but which attains a very similar level of quality in a more challenging vintage — testimony to the serious viticulture that underpins Bollinger’s contemporary excellence.

  8. Champagne Aubry Brut

    NV / 750 ml. | Item#20209

    VN9292 pts. - Vinous - Dec 2017
The NV Brut is a gorgeous entry-level offering. The flavors are brisk and finely cut in this chiseled, crystalline Champagne from the Aubry brothers. Pear, green apple, lemon oil and white flowers add to an overall impression of brightness and tension. Aubry’s straight NV Brut is once again one of the very finest wines in its peer group. I rarely miss a chance to drink it. The current release is a blend of 50% 2014 and 50% reserve wines, with a bit more Meunier in the blend than is the norm. Disgorged: June 2017. Dosage is 6 grams per liter.
    SP9090 pts. - Wine Spectator - Nov 30, 2017
A firm, clean-cut Champagne, with a satinlike mousse that carries finely meshed notes of apple blossom, anise, poached pear and fleur de sel. A hint of almond shows on the finish. Disgorged January 2016. Drink now through 2019. 1,200 cases imported.
    ST8888 pts. - Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar - Nov/Dec 2005
Very pale copper. Smoky, nutty and deep on the nose, with scents of ripe apple, toffee and tarragon. Deep, earthy and rich (this features 60% meunier and 20% pinot noir) but lively on the palate, the apple and sweet toffee notes repeating. Long, full and nicely hefty on the finish.
    WS8888 pts. - Wine & Spirits - December 1, 2007
Scents of hazelnuts and almonds carry the toasty savor of this wine, knit into a broad richness that feels sweet in the middle, dry in the end. It’s soft and simple. For nut-crusted salmon.

    VN8989 pts. - Vinous - Dec 2019
This release of the Selection des Belles Années, based on 2013, is brisk and expressive, with an alluring combination of energy and richness. In the glass, the Belles Années is a touch compact, but a bit of bottle age should help. Wonderfully persistent and inviting, the Belles Années has so much to offer. 10. Pol Roger Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill Champagne

    2013 / 750 ml. | Item#59285

    VN9797 pts. - Vinous - Mar 2022
The 2013 Brut Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill is fabulous. Rich and remarkably pure, the 2013 is super-expressive right out of the gate. Bright saline notes cut through a core of lemon confit, dried flowers, apricot, tangerine peel, mint and sage. As compelling as the 2013 is, it really needs more time to open a bit. There is a feeling of transparency here that is so alluring. The 2013 is a terrific example of power with no excess weight in Champagne. I loved it. Disgorged: July 2021. Dosage is 7 grams per liter. (Antonio Galloni)
    RP9696 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 15th Mar 2022
The 2013 Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill has turned out especially well, wafting from the glass with aromas of orange oil, confit lemon and crisp golden orchard fruit, complemented by subtle hints of brioche and clear honey. Medium to full-bodied, pillowy and seamless, with a deep core of fruit, bright acids and a beautifully refined mousse, this is an elegant, penetrating rendition of Churchill that stands out for its charm and effortlessness. SP9292 pts. - Wine Spectator - Nov 30, 2011
Fresh and lively, with a leesy hint of bread dough mixing with candied berry, quince paste, lemon zest, wax and fleur de sel. Fine-grained, with a lip-smacking, juicy finish. Disgorged April 2011. Drink now through 2018.
    ST9090 pts. - Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar - Nov/Dec 2005
Medium straw color, with an intensely bubbly mousse. Aromas of lemon, lime, and pink grapefruit. Taut and minerally on the palate, with vibrant, concentrated citrus flavors complicated by white pepper and earthier lemongrass notes. This gained flesh and weight with air. Tangy and nervy on the crisp finish, which is fresh and precise.
    WS9090 pts. - Wine & Spirits - December 1, 2005

  13. Champagne Louis Roederer Cristal Rosé

    2013 / 750 ml. | Item#57284

    RP9999 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 15th Apr 2021
A candidate for wine-of-the-vintage honors in Champagne, Roederer’s 2013 Cristal Rosé is showing brilliantly, unfurling in the glass with notes of crisp orchard fruit, white flowers, red berries, stone fruit, freshly baked bread and tangerine oil. Full-bodied, layered and multidimensional, the vintage’s bright girdling acids are amply cloaked in exuberant, expressive and notably concentrated fruit; so while this Cristal is as tensile and age-worthy as one would expect, it’s also impressively fleshy and generous given the year. Concluding with an intensely sapid finish, the 2013 isn’t as overtly structured as the muscular, tightly wound 2012: rather, it’s the 2013’s alliance of cut and flesh, precision and charm that’s so compelling this year. This is another banner vintage for what I consider the reigning champion of the region’s tête de cuvée bottlings, and it will be worth an effort to acquire.
    VN9898 pts. - Vinous - Nov 2021
The 2013 Cristal Rosé is searingly intense right out of the glass, just like the Blanc, except it has a bit more fleshiness because of the skin contact on the Pinot. Cristal Rosé has one of the best track records for aging in Champagne. I suspect the 2013 will join the ranks of the epic vintages, but it is painfully tight today. The blend is 55% Pinot Noir (from Aÿ) and 45% Chardonnay (from Avize and Mesnil) done in the classic Roederer infusion style in which Pinot Noir is vinified on the skins and then blended with Chardonnay to complete the fermentation. About 25% of the lots were done in oak, while malolactic fermentation was blocked.
    SP9797 pts. - Wine Spectator - Nov 30, 2021
Like an orchestra that melds the voices of many components into one compelling song, this bright rosé offers precision balance, seamlessly knitting an expressive range of ripe nectarine and raspberry fruit, Marcona almond, blood orange peel and candied ginger flavors with racy acidity and saline-laced minerality. Plush and creamy on the lasting finish. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Drink now through 2036. 154 cases imported.

  14. Champagne Pehu Simonet Face Nord Brut Grand Cru

    NV / 750 ml. | Item#30885

    SP9393 pts. - Wine Spectator - Nov 30, 2022
Packs a fragrant skein of violet, star anise and graphite that winds through macerated cherry and strawberry fruit, raw almond and crystallized honey. Finely meshed and satiny in texture, this is softly juicy and fresh throughout. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Disgorged January 2022. Drink now. 75 cases imported. (Alison Napjus)
    VN9292 pts. - Vinous - Nov 2020
The NV Brut Face Nord is a gorgeous, expressive wine. For the Face Nord David Pehu blends 70% Pinot and 30% Chardonnay from Verzey and Verzy, both of which yield nervy, racy wines. The inclusion of 30% perpetual reserve back to 2005 helps fill out the layers while adding notable complexity. Cherry, Mirabelle plum, spice and exotic white flowers give the Face Nord striking aromatic complexity and a touch of exoticism that are so alluring. Disgorged: November 1, 2019.
    RP9090 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 31st Mar 2021
Disgorged in November 2019, the latest release of Pehu-Simonet’s NV Brut Grand Cru Face Nord is showing nicely, offering up aromas of white flowers and walnuts mingled with hints of orange oil and crisp yellow apple. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and incisive, with racy acids and chalky grip, it will unwind further with a little time on cork.
    WS8888 pts. - Wine & Spirits - December 1, 2015
This is 70 percent pinot noir from Verzenay and Verzy, the balance chardonnay from Verzenay. It’s chalky and has not begun to evolve, showing some toasted almond notes through a smooth texture, pithy and firm. Give this a year in bottle to develop.

  15. Dom Ruinart Blanc de Blancs

    Extra Brut
    2010 / 750 ml. | Item#59443

    VN97+97+ pts. - Vinous - May 2022
The 2010 Dom Ruinart is truly epic. It’s also an eye-opening wine. And I do mean wine. Because the first impression is really of wine more than Champagne. The 2010 signals a major shift in philosophy, as Dom Ruinart is now aged entirely under cork (rather than crown seal) as it was back in the early 1960s. Lemon peel, white flowers, mint, crushed rocks and white pepper all race across the palate, announcing a Champagne of stature, breed and pure class. All the elements build as the 2010 crescendos into its intensely saline, mineral-drenched finish. The low dosage of 4 grams per liter is perfectly judged. I try to avoid the tired clichés that make comparisons with Burgundy, but it is impossible here. The best way I can describe the 2010 Dom Ruinart is that it tastes like a great Corton-Charlemagne with bubbles. Chef de Caves Frédéric Panaïotis has poured his heart and soul into Ruinart since arriving in 2007. He richly deserves all the accolades he will surely garner for this masterpiece, an achievement that is made all the more notable by the challenges of the growing season. The 2010 Dom Ruinart is unreal. That’s all there is to it. Disgorged: 2020. (Antonio Galloni)
    SP9595 pts. - Wine Spectator - Dec 15, 2022
A mineral-driven Champagne, creamy and compact, this deftly meshes a layer of smoke, chalk and saline with detailed flavors of glazed apple and apricot, roasted hazelnut and ginger-infused pastry cream carried on a raw silky mousse. The fine texture softens the firm spine of chiseled acidity that structures the wine, and hints of white blossoms, Meyer lemon and oyster shell play on the finish. Disgorged November 2020. Drink now through 2035. (Alison Napjus)
    WE9595 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 12/31/2022
This is certainly a mature Champagne. With its ripe character, the dryness has softened to give richness, a beautiful nutty flavor while retaining acidity. A very fine Champagne, it is ready to drink now. (Roger Voss)

The first vintage since the 1960s to see tirage under natural cork in lieu of crown caps, the 2010 Dom Ruinart Blanc de Blancs was disgorged in November 2021. It’s showing nicely, over-performing for the vintage, displaying aromas of yellow orchard fruit, toasted nuts, spices, smoke, dried white flowers and iodine. Medium to full-bodied, pillowy and layered, with impressive concentration and chalky structure, it concludes with a long, saline finish. (William Kelley)

Almost like a white, with a smoky and flinty nose. Dried lemons, cedar, smoked almonds, spiced apples, hazelnuts, salted butter and toast. Tangy and sharp, yet creamy and buttery, too, with fine bubbles. Hazelnuts at the end. Disgorged in February 2021. Drink or hold.
