  1. Château Poitevin Médoc

    Cru Bourgeois Supérieur
    2019 / 750 ml. | Item#58072

    VN9191 pts. - Vinous - Feb 2022
The 2019 Poitevin has a perfumed, floral bouquet with more red fruit than I observed from barrel, showing fine delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, very cohesive and harmonious. There’s just a touch of graphite on the finish. Stylish, top-notch Poitevin. (Neal Martin)
    RP9090 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 31st Oct 2022
The 2019 Poitevin is performing better than it did when I tasted it earlier this year, when I suspect it was still shut down after bottling. Opening in the glass with attractive aromas of orange zest, sweet red berries, petals and spices, it’s medium-bodied, lively and elegant, with lovely purity of fruit and nicely integrated structure. (William Kelley)
    JS8989 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Sunday, February 20, 2022

Bright, onion-skin color. Fresh and incisive on the nose, displaying red berry, citrus fruit and floral qualities and subtle mineral and spice flourishes. Juicy and sharply focused, putting forward lithe strawberry, blood orange and honeysuckle flavors that deepen through the back half. Finishes long and silky, with the red fruit and floral notes lingering. (Josh Raynolds)
    WE8989 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 8/1/2022

    2019 / 750 ml. | Item#57592

    VN9191 pts. - Vinous - Feb 2022
The 2019 Noaillac retains the superb bouquet from barrel, featuring blackberry and bilberry fruit, ripe and generous, while maintaining fine delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins. Classic in style, and a little fleshier than before, with black pepper and cedar on the finish. An excellent Noaillac. (Neal Martin)
    JS9191 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Sunday, February 20, 2022

  5. Château Tour Saint Christophe

    Saint-Émilion Grand Cru
    2020 / 750 ml. | Item#60548

    JD9696 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 3/29/2023
The 2020 Château Tour Saint Christophe showed spectacularly well, and based off past vintages, this shouldn’t surprise anyone. Based on 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc raised in 40% new barrels (the balance is in second- and third-fill oak), it offers a full-bodied, incredibly pure, balanced style revealing subtle oak, terrific darker, almost blue fruits, lots of chocolate, leafy herb and mineral nuances, and gorgeous tannins. It’s worth pointing out that this will be the last vintage made by the talented Jérôme Aguirre. This terrific Saint-Emilion will evolve for two decades. (Jeb Dunnuck)
    JS9696 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Sunday, May 14, 2023
So much black fruit, black walnuts, blueberries, wet earth, black truffles and some graphite. Medium to full body with lots of tension and focus. It runs very long with a salty undertone and some bitter, burnt lemon. Yet ever so subtle and refined. Drink after 2027. (James Suckling)
    RP9393 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 6th Apr 2023
The 2020 Tour Saint Christophe opens in the glass with aromas of sweet cherries, raspberries and petals, followed by a medium to full-bodied, lively and pure palate that’s rich and fleshy, with generously extracted tannins asserting themselves on the finish. It’s a modern, crowd-pleasing wine from clay-rich soils opposite Troplong Mondot in the commune Saint Christophe des Bardes. (William Kelley)
    VN9393 pts. - Vinous - Feb 2023
The 2020 Tour Saint Christophe has grown into an elegant, sophisticated Saint-Émilion. Red/purplish berry fruit, hard candy, mint, blood orange, pomegranate and spice all run through the 2020. Medium in body and polished, the 2020 has maybe a bit less explosive intensity than recent previous years, but plenty of class. Today, I find Tour Saint Christophe a bit subdued. (Antonio Galloni)

  6. Cambria Katherine’s Vineyard Chardonnay

    2020 / 750 ml. | Item#58576

    VN9494 pts. - Vinous - Aug 2022
The 2020 Chardonnay Katherine’s Vineyard is bright and wonderfully saline, with plenty of mineral and savory accents. Citrus peel, mint, white pepper, chalk and dried flowers open nicely with a bit of time. There’s terrific energy and plenty of cut. Most of this fruit is sourced from the own-rooted vines first planted in 1971. (Antonio Galloni)
    SP9090 pts. - Wine Spectator - Mar 31, 2023
A supple and creamy white, with notes of nutmeg and toasted, salted hazelnut that complement lemon curd, fresh peach and crisp Fuji apple flavors. Drink now. 45,702 cases made. (MaryAnn Worobiec)
    WE9090 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 4/1/2022
Dried lime peel, seared lemon pith, white flower and a hint of grass show on the nose of this bottling. There’s an earthy, crushed rock element to the palate, where dried apple and herb flavors also arise. (Matt Kettmann)
    JD9090 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 8/29/2022
The 2020 Chardonnay Katherine’s Vineyard is terrific and shockingly good given the quantities produced. Burgundian-like aromas of stone fruits, chalky minerality, honeyed flowers, and brioche all define the nose, and it’s medium-bodied, with a supple, rounded texture, integrated acidity, and a great finish. 7. L’Ecole No. 41 Perigee

    Seven Hills Vineyard
    2017 / 750 ml. | Item#57528

    JS9595 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Monday, June 1, 2020
This is a deep, richer palate with currants, flowers, white chocolate and some almonds. It’s full-bodied with plush tannins and a chewy finish. Yet, it’s so attractive and pretty. A blend of 50% cabernet sauvignon, 21% merlot, 11% cabernet franc, 9% petit verdot and 9% malbec. Needs more time. Try after 2022.
    JD9494 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 4/15/2020
Based on 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Merlot, 11% Cabernet Franc, the rest Petit Verdot and Malbec, the 2017 Perigee Estate Seven Hills Vineyard offers more classic cassis, tobacco, and sappy herbs as well as a solid sense of minerality. Full-bodied, concentrated, and beautifully balanced as well as elegant, give it 3–5 years of bottle age and enjoy over the following two decades or more. (Jeb Dunnuck)
    VN9393 pts. - Vinous - Dec 2020
Bright, saturated ruby-red. Blackberry, boysenberry, licorice and minerals on the nose, lifted by topnotes of Tellicherry pepper and violet. Very suave, silky and smooth, conveying enticing sweetness to its refined dark berry, spice and mineral flavors. Terrific energy and delineation here, and long and suave on the rising finish, where the dusty tannins are beautifully buffered by the wine’s material. A lovely showing, even if this very juicy wine is still a bit youthfully imploded. This may be the most floral of the current red wine releases from L’Ecole.
    RP92+92+ pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 22nd Oct 2020
The 2017 Perigee Seven Hills Vineyard Estate is a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Merlot, 11% Cabernet Franc and 9% each of Petit Verdot and Malbec. The nose opens to an expressive fruit core, highlighting juicy dark red fruit and spiced blackberry essence. Aromas of cinnamon-spiced dark cherries, sweet plums and a dusty minerality sway out of the glass with elements of an exotic floral bouquet. Full-bodied, the wine shows layers and a delineated, fresh frame with succulent tannins, offering a balanced structure across the mid-palate. The mouthfeel shows finesse with a purity of fruit before lingering with persistence, vibrancy and a subtle red spice reflection over the elongated finish. This is delicious juice.
    WE9191 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 8/1/2020
Cabernet Sauvignon makes up half of this wine, with the rest Merlot (21%), Cabernet Franc (11%), Petit Verdot (9%) and Malbec (9%). Brooding aromas of cherry, plum, mocha, graphite, cherry and herb lead to medium-bodied fruit flavors, backed by tart acidity and firm, grainy tannins. The structure is lovely. It needs some time to stretch its legs, with the tannins giving a bigger impression than they often do from this vineyard. Best after 2024.

  8. Planeta Cerasuolo di Vittoria

    2020 / 750 ml. | Item#58988

    SP9292 pts. - Wine Spectator - Nov 15, 2022
Lightly toasty on the nose, less so on the palate, with a pure beam of raspberry coulis fruit flavors layered with a minerally underpinning of smoke and graphite, plus rich notes of fig cake, wild sage, ground coffee and red licorice. A fresh, classy version, with lightly chalky tannins emerging to firm the finish. Nero d’Avola and Frappato. Drink now through 2027. 6,650 cases made, 1,415 cases imported. (Alison Napjus)
    WS9191 pts. - Wine & Spirits - 06/22
Notes of dried thyme and white pepper weave through this wine’s juicy cherry and strawberry flavors, then the wine finishes with a bright spray of orange zest. It’s a lively, midweight wine, versatile for a range of lighter fare.
    VN9090 pts. - Vinous - Jun 2022
The 2020 Cerasuolo di Vittoria is dark and smoky, with black currants and crushed blueberries offset by a hint of animal musk. This is a soft and pure yet energetic expression, with a mix of tart wild berries and sour citrus tones adding tension. It tapers off long and floral, with a pleasant inner sweetness complicated by a staining of salty minerals. This is so incredibly fresh. The 2020 Cerasuolo di Vittoria is a blend of 60% Nero d’Avola and 40% Frappato. (Eric Guido)

  9. Château Lilian Ladouys Saint-Estèphe

    2019 / 750 ml. | Item#58618

    WE9393 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 7/1/2022
From a large, 113-acre estate, this wine is dense, structured and full of dark coffee and spice flavors allied to rich tannins. Blackberry fruits shine through this texture promising aging. Drink from 2026. (Roger Voss)
    VN92+92+ pts. - Vinous - Dec 2021
The 2019 Lilian Ladouys has gained a little more refinement since I tasted it in barrel, the black fruit now dominant and interlaced with tobacco and pencil box scents, less Margaux-like than previously. The palate is medium-bodied with firm, slightly powdery tannins. Classic in style, with that touch of brine on the finish. I admire the way it lingers in the mouth. Afford this 3–5 years in bottle. (Neal Martin)
    JD9191 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 4/11/2022
This château continues to bring the goods, and their 2019 Château Lilian Ladouys offers a medium-bodied, supple, elegant, and certainly delicious style as well as complex notes of redcurrants, darker mulberries, cedary spice, and dried herbs. It shows the elegant, more mid-weight side to the vintage, yet the balance is spot on, it has ripe tannins, and it’s going to keep for 15+ years. (Jeb Dunnuck)
    RP9090 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 7th Apr 2022
Offering up aromas of sweet berries, cherries, licorice and spices, the 2019 Lilian Ladouys is medium to full-bodied, ample and charming, with a giving, easygoing profile and a clean, precise finish. It’s a competent effort that shows none of the appellation’s stereotypically hard edges. (William Kelley)

    Monte Bello Vineyard
    2019 / 750 ml. | Item#57473

    VN9292 pts. - Vinous - May 2022
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate offers a hugely appealing mix of fruit richness married to the savory, structured style that is the Ridge signature. The 2019 is beautifully exotic, but natural without the volume of the Monte Bello. I imagine it will drink splendidly with minimal cellaring. Succulent red cherry, blood orange, mint, cinnamon and pomegranate. (Antonio Galloni)
    SP9292 pts. - Wine Spectator - Nov 15, 2022
Distinctive, with a burst of singed vanilla and savory leading off, followed by dark plum and blackberry puree notes that stream through. Shows singed mesquite and a sanguine note as this unfolds. Sleek, tight-grained finish. Best from 2023 through 2033. 6,800 cases made. (James Molesworth)

    VN9494 pts. - Vinous - Sep 2018
The 2015 Syrah Tepusquet Vineyard is the most impressive wine in the range today. Powerful, dense and explosive, the 2015 pulses with both energy. An exotic mélange of inky dark fruit, creme de cassis, lavender, black pepper and spice builds as this striking wine shows off its pedigree.
    JD9191 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - October 15, 2018
The only Syrah I was able to taste from this estate was the 2015 Syrah Tepusquet. It’s a smoky, meaty, barbecue-scented beauty that has lots of pepper and dark fruits, medium to full body, a ripe, sexy texture, and a great finish. It has ample character and will keep for 5–6 years. (Jeb Dunnuck)

  13. Castello Banfi Brunello di Montalcino

    2018 / 750 ml. | Item#60106

    VN9090 pts. - Vinous - Dec 2022
There’s a mentholated freshness to the 2018 Brunello di Montalcino Castello Banfi, as swirling unlocks further depths of dried cherries, mint leaf and worn leather. This is soft and round on the palate, with ripe red fruits and pretty floral tones offset by a twang of sour citrus. The 2018 tapers off lightly structured yet fresh, as inner rose and hints of salted licorice fade. (Eric Guido)
    JD9090 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 3/6/2023
Taking on more wood influence, the 2018 Brunello Di Montalcino is fragrant with cedar, vanillin spice, red plum, and clove. It is medium to full body, with tannins that turn to the more amaro spectrum quickly, with notes of turned potting soil and dried cherry pit. The palate is savory and gripping with potential wood tannins that give the impression they will outlast the fruit. Drink 2025–2030. (Audrey Frick)

    Saint-Émilion Grand Cru
    2019 / 750 ml. | Item#58787

    VN9595 pts. - Vinous - Feb 2022
The 2019 Tour Saint Christophe builds on the promise it showed from barrel. This sample was actually tasted at my home, where I afforded it a two-hour decant. It revealed precocious yet controlled blackberry and blueberry fruit scents, with that violet component still intact. The tannins have not lost any of their grippiness or assertiveness. This is a Saint-Émilion that is in for the long haul. Great potential. (Neal Martin)
    JD9494 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 4/11/2022
This estate has been delivering the goods for numerous vintages now, and the 2019 Château Tour Saint Christophe is another terrific wine. Ripe black cherries, black raspberries, graphite, new leather, and chalky minerality all define the nose, and it’s medium to full-bodied, has a tight, straight, focused texture, ripe yet present tannins, and outstanding length. It doesn’t have the mid-palate density or opulence of the 2018, but it’s more pretty, focused, and straight on the palate. Give bottles 4–5 years and enjoy over the following two decades. (Jeb Dunnuck)
    RP9393 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 7th Apr 2022
