This is plush in feel; vibrant acidity and ripe red berry fruits create an energetic and jovial expression. It leaves just a touch of sweet tannins while tapering off long yet playful in style. Vibrant again on the nose, this offers enticing scents of yellow plum, flint and subtle petrichor scents that unfurl in the glass. It’s reminiscent of a Bordeaux Blanc with the aromatics turned way up: white peaches and kiwi are complemented by tones of acacia, fresh green herbs and beeswax. The medium-bodied palate is satiny and mouth coating with seamless acidity and generous flavor layers. It’s got the bass, mid and treble to drink well on its own or pair with a wide range of dishes at the table. This impressive Sauvignon Blanc was grown by Alecia Moore at Two Wolves in Santa Ynez from fruit planted in 2015. It was matured for eight months in concrete, stainless and neutral oak vessels, and 250 cases were made. Beautifully balanced, medium-bodied, and textured, with bright, vibrant acidity, it’s a brilliant effort that will be about as versatile as they come on the dinner table. I would drink bottles over the coming couple of years while the fruit is vibrant and fresh, yet I certainly wouldn’t be surprised to see this have an interesting evolution over the coming decade. VN87+87–89 pts. - Vinous - Aug 2022 The 2021 Bourgogne Aligoté is raised entirely in stainless-steel. It has a perfumed bouquet with pressed white flowers commingling with linden and orange pith aromas. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, taut and fresh with a linear finish that maybe just needs a bit more density and texture. Still, this has plenty of vitality and tension. Sweet red cherry, blood orange, mint, spice, mocha and a kiss of new oak all race across the palate. An alluring, captivating wine, the Pagani Ranch is total sensuality. As good as the 2021 is—and it is very good—it could have been legendary. That is especially evident when looking at wines from Bedrock and Old Hill, two of the other grand crus of this stretch of vineyards in Sonoma Valley. VN9090 pts. - Vinous - Jun 2022 So clean and so crisp, the 2021 Pinot Grigio lifts up with notes of freshly sliced yellow apple, hints of lime zest and gingery spice. This is supple, with a balanced sweetness contrasted by zesty notes of lime and tart orchard fruit. It leaves a buzzing of residual acids that keeps the mouth watering while tapering off with medium length. This tension-filled Pinot Grigio is a total pleasure to taste.

The palate is well balanced with a fine line of acidity, quite tensile and steely with a precise finish that deserves a round of applause. This is well-crafted.
