Champagne is by far the most well-known sparkling wine. From Champagne, France, it is the most recognizable celebratory wine there is. Produced by adding a small amount of sugar to the bottle before bottling, it is a bubbly wine loaded with flavor.

Well-known Champagne brands include Moet, as well as Veuve Clicquot. These high-end, fine Champagnes are quite nice in themselves, however a good sparkling wine (any sparkler NOT from Champagne, France) can hold its own in contest with some of the nicer Champagne brands. Good sparkling wine may come from many countries, including the United States, Italy (Prosecco, Moscato), Spain (Cava), Germany, and even South America!

  2. Champagne Louis Roederer Rosé Vintage

    2015 / 750 ml. gift box | Item#57689

    RP9494 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 23rd Sep 2021
The 2015 Brut Vintage Rosé is generous and demonstrative, bursting with aromas of peach, orange and pear mingled with hints of red berries, fresh bread and ginger. Full-bodied, layered and vinous, it’s rich and enveloping, its textural attack segueing into an ample, fleshy core that’s girdled by bright acids and enlivened by a pillowy mousse. Long and expansive, it’s more generous and gourmand than its racier 2014 predecessor, but just as good.
    SP9393 pts. - Wine Spectator - Nov 15, 2021
Pure and pretty notes of wild strawberry and nectarine fruit are enriched by hints of marzipan, chalk and pickled ginger in this graceful rosé Champagne. Lithe and expressive, with a fine, lively mousse, this shows lovely balance and a creamy, mineral-laced finish. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Drink now through 2031. 1,054 cases imported. This graceful Champagne offers hints of smoke and toasted brioche that transition to patisserie apple and blackberry fruit, candied ginger and mandarin orange peel notes. Seamlessly knit and mouthwatering, with a minerally underpinning and a finely detailed, dotted bead. Lush and creamy on the vibrant, lasting finish. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Drink now through 2035.
