  1. Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label Brut Champagne

    NV / 750 ml. | Item#72306

    SP9191 pts. - Wine Spectator - Nov 15, 2018
A well-cut and lacy Champagne in an elegant, aperitif style, with hints of chalk and graphite underscoring the lively Honeycrisp apple, cherry and lemon curd flavors. Offers a sleek, minerally finish. Drink now through 2021.
    WE9090 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 12/1/2013
One of the most familiar of Champagnes, the Yellow Label is finely made — a fruity while structured wine. It has both fresh and fragrant fruit as well as richness, a soft, creamy texture and bright acidity. There is no sense in bottle aging here — drink this wine because of its crispness.
    WS9090 pts. - Wine & Spirits - December 1, 1997
The quality of this non-vintage blend is impressive, from it integrated Champagne scent to its creamy texture that carries aromas and flavors of green apples, white flowers, and fine minerality. It all comes together in the finish, where the opulent, pillowy texture meets the crispness of the mousse and light acidity.
    RP8787 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 31st Dec 2008
The NV Brut offers up attractive notes of smoke, tar, rich ripe pears and flowers in a medium to full-bodied style. There is a good measure of persistence, although the wine could use a little more polish on the finish. This is Lot 14009913, disgorged between December, 2007 and January, 2008. Anticipated maturity: 2008–2010.
    ST8787 pts. - Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar - Nov/Dec 2011
Bright yellow-gold. Poached pear and candied citrus fruits on the nose, which shows notes of spun sugar and toffee. Sweet orchard and pit fruit flavors are slightly cloying and loose-knit, with slow-mounting spiciness. Finishes on a warm note, with decent length and a suggestion of candied orange.

    RP9696 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 9th Mar 2023
Medium ruby, the 2019 Pinot Noir Sisters has a delicate perfume of raspberries, rhubarb, tar, orange peel and tea leaves with touches of flint. The light-bodied palate is powdery and fresh with fragrant floral character and a long finish. (Erin Brooks)
    JS9494 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Tuesday, August 9, 2022
This is a solid pinot with so much strawberry and tangerine character that it’s hard to put down. The tannins are very solid and slightly chewy, but I think this will come together beautifully. Try after 2024.

    SP9292 pts. - Wine Spectator - Dec 15, 2019
Lithe and vibrant, this graceful Champagne is driven by well-knit, racy acidity, carrying flavors of ripe black cherry, grated ginger, toast point and mineral on the satiny mousse. Drink now through 2022. 222,500 cases made, 29,000 cases imported.
    WE9191 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 12/1/2015
The quality of this nonvintage wine from Piper-Hedsieck is a sign of the increasing quality of the range as a whole. It’s a wine that hovers comfortably between freshness and maturity, between a soft dosage and crisp fresh apples. This bottling is ready to drink.
    RP8888 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 31st Dec 2008
Ripe pears, crisp green apples and flowers emerge from Piper-Heidsieck’s NV Brut Cuvée. This medium-bodied non-vintage Champagne offers excellent persistence and a long, clean finish. It is a very solid effort at this level. The Brut Cuvée is 55% Pinot Noir, 30% Pinot Meunier and 15% Chardonnay. This is lot L070921 12253, disgorged December, 2007. Anticipated maturity: 2008–2010.
    ST8888 pts. - Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar - Nov/Dec 2005
Medium straw. Light gold, with a strong mousse. Smoky, rich and floral on the nose, with suggestions of orange peel, pear and jasmine. Nicely concentrated and moderately weighty, with flavors of lemon cream and buttered toast. Quite long, with the butter and lemon notes resonating.
    WS8686 pts. - Wine & Spirits - December 1, 2006
Simple, ripe and smooth, this is a gentle, soft style of Champagne for parties.

  6. Paul Hobbs Pinot Noir, Russian River Valley

    2019 / 750 ml. | Item#56493

    JD9494 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 7/22/2021
Moving to the reds, the 2019 Pinot Noir Russian River Valley offers a medium ruby/purple hue to go with a beautiful perfume of mulberries, black cherries, Asian spices, and roasted herbs. Playing in the medium-bodied end of the spectrum, it still brings plenty of fruit, with a great mid-palate and outstanding length on the finish. It’s common in 2019 for the Russian River Valley Pinots to show a beautiful sense of freshness and elegance, and this wine delivers those qualities in spades. It can be drunk any time over the coming 7–8 years. (Jeb Dunnuck)
    RP9393 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 4th Feb 2021
Medium ruby-purple, the 2019 Pinot Noir opens with broody cranberries and blackberries with touches of earth and charcuterie. The medium-bodied palate is a bit brighter than the nose would lead you to believe, with a grainy, fresh frame and gregarious, spicy fruits. It’s a pretty expression that combines powerful fruit with a lighter frame than might be expected from the Russian River Valley. 7,379 cases produced.
    JS9393 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Friday, January 14, 2022
Pretty aromas of red cherries, ripe wild strawberries and rooibos tea. Medium-bodied with fine tannins and well-balanced acidity that keeps the sweet red and black-cherry character going throughout. Added notes of tobacco and vanilla stick come in. Drink now.
    VN9292 pts. - Vinous - Jan 2021
The 2019 Pinot Noir (Russian River Valley) is super-expressive right out of the gate. Inky red/purplish berry fruit, lavender, spice and rose petal meld together. Supple and fruity, with tons of charm, the Russian River Pinot has a ton to offer. I would prefer to cellar it for a year or two, as the tannins need time to settle down.

    2019 / 750 ml. | Item#55909

    RP92+92–94 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 14th Jan 2021
Once again one of the highlights of the range, the 2019 Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru La Dominode (Domaine Louis Jadot) wafts from the glass with notes of cassis, plums, dark chocolate, loamy soil and spices. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and layered, it’s elegantly muscular, with fine depth and lively acids.
    VN90+90–92 pts. - Vinous - Dec 2020
The 2019 Savigny-lès-Beaune La Dominode 1er Cru was more closed than the Clos des Guettes on the nose, presenting darker fruit tinged with iodine and light iris petals. Fine delineation. The palate is well balanced with supple tannins, fine grip and edginess and a subtle white pepper and clove note toward the finish. This is a very well-crafted Savigny that should drink well for 10–15 years.

    RP90+90+ pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 20th Jan 2022
The 2020 Savigny-lès-Beaune Vieilles Vignes represents another fine rendition of this remarkably consistent cuvée. Unfurling in the glass with notes of cherries, red berries, warm spices and sweet soil tones, it’s medium to full-bodied, lively and concentrated, with powdery tannins and a long, sapid finish. Given its structure and substance, it will amply reward at least a few years’ patience. (William Kelley)

    WE9595 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 11/1/2021
A hint of stemmy earthiness leads the way to a luxurious, expansive and velvety palate. The acidity is edgy and fresh, lifting the savory and floral components over a rich, complex berry core. (Virginie Boone)
    RP9292 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 3rd Jun 2021
Medium ruby, the 2019 Pinot Noir Russian River Valley opens with savory scents of cranberry sauce, rhubarb, cherries and violet perfume with earthy and meaty touches. The medium-bodied palate is lushly fruited with a grainy texture, juicy freshness and long, spicy finish. 5,200 cases produced. (Erin Brooks)
    JD9090 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 7/22/2021
Leading off a slew of Pinot Noirs, the 2019 Pinot Noir Russian River Valley reveals a healthy ruby color as well as terrific raspberry and cherry fruits, medium-bodied richness, a supple, elegant mouthfeel, present yet light tannins, and a good finish. It’s charming, and while it drops off slightly on the finish, it’s balanced and satisfying. It should have 7–8 years of longevity. (Jeb Dunnuck)

  10. Cristom Pinot Noir Mt. Jefferson Cuvée

    2019 / 750 ml. | Item#55596

    JS9797 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Sunday, August 22, 2021
This is very seductive on the nose with ripe strawberry, spice, flowers and hints of cloves. Full-bodied, but very reserved and tight with chewy, polished tannins and a long, long finish. Racy and structured. Try after 2024.
    RP9595 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 16th Dec 2021
The caliber of the 2019 Mt. Jefferson Cuvée Pinot Noir, Cristom’s largest-production SKU, is impressive this vintage. Medium ruby-purple, it features savory cranberry sauce, orange peel and tar aromas with tones of dried flowers and spice. The medium-bodied palate offers the pleasing, gently grippy tannins and bright freshness characteristic of Cristom’s generous whole-cluster inclusion, and it finishes with intense, layered fruits and floral accents.
    VN9292 pts. - Vinous - Feb 2022
Brilliant ruby-red. Spice-accented red and blue fruits, candied rose and baking spices on the fragrant nose. An undercurrent of juicy acidity supports spice-tinged black raspberry, bitter cherry and boysenberry flavors that turn sweeter with air. Shows fine clarity on the persistent, red-fruit-driven finish, which is framed by well-knit, slowly building tannins. 40% whole clusters and 31% new French oak.
    SP9191 pts. - Wine Spectator - Dec 15, 2021

  11. Champagne Bollinger La Grand Année

    2014 / 750 ml. | Item#57145

    VN9898 pts. - Vinous - Mar 2022
The 2014 La Grande Année is stunning. In fact, it is one of the best recent editions I can remember tasting. What comes through most is the wine’s sizzling energy and tension, qualities that aren’t often associated with Bollinger, where the Champagnes tend to show more breadth and volume. In 2014, readers will find a Grande Année built on linear intensity and drive.
    SP9797 pts. - Wine Spectator - Jun 30, 2022
Racy acidity drives this mouthwatering Champagne, enlivening the rich panoply of flavors. Features a fine and creamy mousse that’s still a lively springboard for aromas and flavors of crème de cassis, glazed tangerine, roasted hazelnut, ground coffee, pickled ginger and white blossoms. Long and satiny, with minerally salt and chalk notes gaining momentum on the lasting finish. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Disgorged July 2021. Drink now through 2037. 1,500 cases imported.
    RP9595 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 7th Mar 2022
Offering up complex aromas of crisp yellow orchard fruit, confit citrus, frangipane, walnuts, dried white flowers and subtle hints of iodine, Bollinger’s 2014 Brut La Grande Année is medium to full-bodied, pillowy and vinous, with an elegantly fleshy core of fruit that’s underpinned by racy acids and complemented by a pretty pinpoint mousse. Concluding with a long, chalky finish, this is a charming but precise Grande Année that’s more giving and demonstrative than its immediate predecessor, the 2012, but which attains a very similar level of quality in a more challenging vintage — testimony to the serious viticulture that underpins Bollinger’s contemporary excellence.

    Domaine des Héritiers Louis Jadot
    2020 / 750 ml. | Item#58882

    SP9696 pts. - Wine Spectator - May 31, 2023
Intense and tightly wound, this red is firmly structured and energetic, featuring cherry, strawberry, stone and spice flavors, with the acidity and tannins lending support for future evolution. All the components are there, this just needs a few years to knit together. Best from 2027 through 2045. 258 cases made, 129 cases imported. (Bruce Sanderson)
    VN94+94–96 pts. - Vinous - Dec 2021
The 2020 Corton-Pougets Grand Cru is often one of Jadot’s strongest cards amongst the Côte de Beaune reds and this is no different. It has a captivating bouquet with earthy red fruit, graphite, just a faint hint of menthol that emerges with time. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit, lightly spiced with a dash of white pepper towards the sustained finish. It will require several years in bottle to show its best, but it will be worth waiting for. (Neal Martin)
    RP93+93–95 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 20th Jan 2022
The 2020 Corton-Pougets Grand Cru (Domaine des Héritiers Jadot) is excellent, mingling aromas of cherries and raspberries with notions of raw cocoa, orange rind, warm spices and smoke. Full-bodied, velvety and layered, it’s deep and concentrated, with powdery tannins, bright acids and a long, resonant finish. (William Kelley)

  13. Veuve Clicquot Rosé

    NV / 750 ml. | Item#22560

    SP9191 pts. - Wine Spectator - Nov 30, 2018
This mouthwatering rosé Champagne shows textural density, sitting like raw silk on the palate and offering flavors of dried white cherry, grapefruit granita and ground ginger, with a light and lingering toast note. Drink now.
    WE9090 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 12/1/2013
This is a beautiful, full rosé that is rich and shows a fine balance between acidity and fruitiness. This bottling is also mature with toastiness coming through, giving a softer, rounder character. There is weight, and great acidity on the finish.
    WS9090 pts. - Wine & Spirits - December 1, 2013
A whimsical play on fruit and spice, this is delicate enough to hint at an orange blossom scent and meaty enough to serve with cured sausages. It bristles with acidity over red fruit, lasting on heady complexity.
    RP8686 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 31st Dec 2008
The NV Brut Rosé is a straightforward, accessible wine to enjoy over the next year or two. With a little additional refinement in the tannins, this bottling might merit a slightly higher score. This is Lot 14009917, disgorged between December, 2006 and January, 2007. Anticipated maturity: 2008–2010.

    RP9494 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 23rd Sep 2021
The 2015 Brut Vintage Rosé is generous and demonstrative, bursting with aromas of peach, orange and pear mingled with hints of red berries, fresh bread and ginger. Full-bodied, layered and vinous, it’s rich and enveloping, its textural attack segueing into an ample, fleshy core that’s girdled by bright acids and enlivened by a pillowy mousse. Long and expansive, it’s more generous and gourmand than its racier 2014 predecessor, but just as good.
    SP9393 pts. - Wine Spectator - Nov 15, 2021
Pure and pretty notes of wild strawberry and nectarine fruit are enriched by hints of marzipan, chalk and pickled ginger in this graceful rosé Champagne.
