    RP9191 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 31st Aug 2021
I find the 2019 Marques de Casa Concha Cabernet Sauvignon to be quite subtle and elegant, with clear Maipo profile, a little minty and spicy. Like the majority of varietal wines, it also contains small amounts of other grapes, Cabernet Franc, Syrah and Petit Verdot in this case. It’s medium to full-bodied and reveals very good balance and freshness. 900,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in March 2021. (Luis Gutiérrez)

  2. Clos Apalta

    2019 / 750 ml. | Item#59278

    VN9696 pts. - Vinous - Jun 2022
The 2019 Clos Apalta from Apalta, Colchagua, was aged for 24 months in 90% new French barrels. Dark purple in the glass. The complex, nuanced nose offers mild notes of mint, pyrazines, ash and ripe dark fruit such as blackberry and blueberry with hints of undergrowth and tobacco, cedar and other aromas from the aging process. In the mouth, it’s indulgent and compact initially with refined, slightly reactive, young tannins, an expansive flow and a rich palate that delivers herbal flavors before the sustained, fruity finish. The good year has helped to enhance the depth of an already accomplished red with a well-proven ripe style. (Joaquín Hidalgo)
    RP9595 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 31st Aug 2022
The 2019 Clos Apalta was produced with a blend of 70% Carmenere, 18% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Petit Verdot, extremely high in Carmenere and low in Cabernet Sauvignon in a ripe and warm year. It fermented with indigenous yeasts for four to five weeks, with manual punch-down of the cap, 67% in 7,500-liter French oak vats and 33% in new French oak barrels followed by malolactic in new French oak barrels. The élevage was 24 months in 90% new barrels and 10% second use. It’s powerful, big and ripe, with 15% alcohol and a pH of 3.57. It’s creamy and juicy, with very high ripeness and a notable absence of herbal notes; it’s oaky, smoky and decadent, coming through as luxurious, round, lush and velvety. It’s full-bodied and has abundant, small and powdery tannins. 103,944 bottles produced. It was bottled in June 2021. (Luis Gutiérrez)
    SP9595 pts. - Wine Spectator - Web only – 2023
Balances muscle and grace in a complex package, with geranium and floral peppercorn-accented red currant notes up front, while the core is densely packed with blackberry and plum flavors that swirl around spiced chocolate details and swell with lively acidity. Ends with mineral twinges, firming tannins and a final wave of kirsch and chocolate. Carmenère, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. Drink now through 2035. 8,662 cases made, 350 cases imported. (Aaron Romano)

  4. Marqués de Casa Concha Pinot Noir

    2019 / 750 ml. | Item#59883

    VN9292 pts. - Vinous - May 2021
The 2019 Pinot Noir Marques de Casa Concha from the San Julián vineyard in Limarí, 15 miles from the sea, planted in alluvial red clay soil, spent 11 months in French oak barrels. A medium-hued red, it offers crystal-clear aromas of sour cherry and earth and a bare-bones palate with a fine, silky texture and a slightly saline flavor.
    RP9191 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 31st Aug 2021
The 2019 Marques de Casa Concha Pinot Noir was produced with fruit from vines planted in Limarí between 2006 and 2009. It’s ripe but has kept very good acidity and comes through as balanced and fresh while it’s also powerful. The oak feels more and more integrated, as the wine matured in French oak barrels, 15% of them new, for 11 months. 54,000 bottles were filled in April 2020.
    WE8888 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 4/1/2022
Piquant red-fruit aromas of cranberry, currant and raspberry include a note of iodine and a hint of dried meat. This is a lively style of Pinot that’s medium in weight. Spicy oak notes accent plum and raspberry flavors in front of a finish propelled by healthy acidity. (Michael Schachner)

  6. Seña

    Valle de Aconcagua
    2020 / 750 ml. | Item#60363

    JS9898 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Wednesday, December 28, 2022
Complex, with savory, spicy character, showing tobacco, salted plums, olives, black cherries, cassis and a hint of white pepper on the nose, followed by a refined, savory, balsamic accent. A full-bodied Seña with juicy fruit chiseling into the tight, extremely fine-grained tannins. Long, bright and still elegant from this warm vintage. 53% cabernet sauvignon, 25% malbec, 15% carmenere and 7% petit verdot. A wine with lots of harmony now, but better to drink from 2025.
    RP9797 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 31st Aug 2022
The 2020 Seña is a blend of 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Malbec, 15% Carmenere and 7% Petit Verdot (a little higher in search of acidity) from grapes harvested early, the second week of March, and fermented mostly in stainless steel and 10% in concrete eggs. It has a moderate 13.5% alcohol and good freshness. It’s subtle and layered, not only fruit but with more spice; it has polished tannins and very integrated oak after 22 months in barrique, 78% new, and with 10% of the volume in large Stockinger barrels. The warmer years seem to be nicely managed, so that it’s not reflected in the ripeness but is more a matter of texture and quality of the tannins; in the warmer years, like 2017 or this 2019, the wines have a little more grip, but these are definitely finer than those from the 2017 vintage. This wine has intensity and complexity, with no mintiness or herbal notes; it’s spicy and juicy, with energy and depth. It has structure, color, stuffing and acidity to develop nicely in bottle. 100,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in February 2022. (Luis Gutiérrez)
    WE9595 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 3/1/2023
Violets, ripe cherry and red-plum aromas are delicate. Light notes of cinnamon and dried herbs fill up the bouquet. This is one of Chile’s iconic wines from a warm vintage in Aconcagua Valley that delivers good concentration of fruit on the ripe palate. Blackberry and cherry flavors are followed by light notes of oak spice. It has lively linear acidity and big tannins. It’s good to drink now and promise a good future. Drink through 2030. (Jesica Vargas)
    WS9393 pts. - Wine & Spirits - 12/22
Robert Mondavi and Eduardo Chadwick founded this joint venture in 1995, in the volcanic soils of the Aconcagua Valley, north of Santiago, and west of Chadwick’s Viña Errazuriz. In this 2020 blend based on cabernet sauvignon and carmenère, scents of orange peel and cinnamon reveal the volatility and oak that centers the wine. But there’s also plenty of red fruit taken to heady ripeness, while still holding elegance. Open, cedary and easy to enjoy, this is ready for steak au poivre.
    SP9292 pts. - Wine Spectator - Nov 15, 2022
Suave and polished, featuring flavors of floral currant and plum preserves, with a mineral underpinning and fresh acidity. Ends with loam and spice nuances and firm tannins. Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Carmenère and Petit Verdot. Drink now through 2032. 8,334 cases made, 590 cases imported. (Aaron Romano)

  7. Vigno by De Martino

    Vignadores de Carignan
    2011 / 750 ml. | Item#40797

    RP9595 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 25th Jun 2014
The 2011 Vigno Single Vineyard La Aguada is a field blend from an un-grafted, dry-farmed, head-pruned old vineyard called La Aguada in Sauzal, in the coastal mountain range in Maule, one of the closest Carignan plots to the Pacific Ocean in the region, which was planted with a mixture of approximately 90% Carignan and 10% other red varieties (Pais, Carmenere, Cinsault and Malbec) in 1955. It has a beautiful perfumed nose with elegant yet rustic touches of cured meats, tree bark, a touch of smoke, ripe cherries and subtle sweet spices with very good acidity, good tension, and delineated pure flavors. A yummy, supple, meaty, delicious bottle of wine, very drinkable and food-friendly. It’s drinking well now, but it should also age well. This is simply superb, elegant, fresh, balanced, a great expression of Carignan and the Maule. At this quality level this is a real bargain. Super! Drink now–2019.
    VN9292 pts. - Vinous - Jun 2015
Brilliant ruby. Aromas of fresh raspberry and cherry, with suave floral and mineral nuances adding vivacity. On the palate, sappy, palate-staining red and dark berry flavors put on weight and gain sweetness with air. A powerful yet lithe blend with excellent finishing clarity and fine-grained tannins sneaking in slowly to add grip.
    SP9090 pts. - Wine Spectator - Nov 15, 2014
A minerally and exuberantly fruity red, filled with expressive raspberry, cherry and crushed red plum flavors. Snappy midpalate, with a fresh and focused finish, showing plenty of red currant notes. Drink now through 2017. 600 cases made.
