  1. La Rioja Alta Gran Reserva 904 Selección Especial

    2015 / 750 ml. | Item#60493

    JS9797 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Thursday, February 3, 2022
A perfumed nose of plums, mulberries, mushrooms, caramel, sweet tobacco and sweet spices. Full-bodied with velvety, fine tannins and lively acidity. Balanced and supple with a creamy texture. Delicate and precise with a long, polished finish. 90% tempranillo and 10% graciano. Drink or hold. (James Suckling)
    RP9595 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 14th Jul 2022
They used the words subtlety, elegance, finesse, delicacy and silk to define the 2015 Gran Reserva 904 Selección Especial, a blend of 90% Tempranillo from their vineyards in Villalba, Briñas and Rodezno with 10% Graciano from the Montecillo vineyard in Fuenmayor that was picked 23 days later than the Tempranillo. The grapes were sorted optically for the first time, and they fermented in stainless steel where the wine went through malolactic too. The wine was put in barrel in January 2016—used American oak barrels built by their own coopers—where it matured for four years, during which time it was racked every six months. 2015 was a healthy vintage with balanced ripeness that delivered wines with good aging potential. They thought the wine needed a little more time in bottle to polish those tannins and have decided to hold it and release the wine around March 2023; it will be marked Selección Especial, the first 904 to do so, as they have very high hopes for this year and believe it’s one of the finest vintages. They think it will develop the sophistication in the palate with a little more time and that is should achieve the silkiness that is the signature of 904. This is very 2015; I saw quite strong tannins in all the 2015 wines I tasted from Rioja Alta. There are some 150,000 bottles of this. (Luis Gutiérrez)

Vivid ruby. Expansive red and blue fruit preserve, tobacco, potpourri, spice and botanical herb aromas, with vanilla and smoky mineral notes emerging as the wine opens up. Sappy, penetrating and gently chewy on the palate, offering vibrant, mineral- and spice-accented black raspberry, bitter cherry and rose pastille flavors that deepen and turn sweeter on the back half. Shows sharp focus and floral lift on the impressively long, youthfully tannic finish, which leaves behind notes of candied blue fruits and spicecake. (Josh Raynolds)
    SP9292 pts. - Wine Spectator - Sep 30, 2021
This elegant, sanguine red offers supple layers of dried cherry, sandalwood, vanilla and Kalamata olive, supported by smooth tannins. Hints of leather, tobacco, mineral and anise echo on the finish. A balanced, traditional style red. Drink now through 2031. 12,500 cases made, 3,200 cases imported. (Gillian Sciaretta)

  2. Château Teyssier Saint-Émilion Grand Cru

    2015 / 750 ml. | Item#51156

    VN9191 pts. - Vinous - Feb 2018
The 2015 Teyssier is a fabulous introduction to Jonathan Maltus’s wines. Super-ripe black cherry, plum, mocha, new leather and dark spice, along with the wine’s natural lushness, give the Teyssier much of its immediacy and allure. Flamboyant an inviting, with impeccable balance, the 2015 has so much to offer, including a very appealing proposition of price and availability. The blend is 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc.
    RP9090 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 27th Apr 2018
Medium to deep ruby-purple colored, the 2015 Teyssier (a blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc) gives up lovely black and red cherries notions with cinnamon stick, fragrant earth and potpourri nuances. Medium-bodied and fresh with a satiny texture, it’s earthy and elegant in the mouth with a perfumed finish. (Lisa Perrotti-Brown)

Medium garnet-purple colored, the 2015 Zinfandel St. Peter’s Church Vineyard has a nose of raspberry pie, blueberry compote and preserved plums with underlying hints of scorched earth, Indian spices, tobacco and stewed tea. 4. San Leonardo

    2015 / 750 ml. | Item#53954

    RP97+97+ pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 18th Feb 2021
The 2015 San Leonardo pours forth with a beautiful velvety appearance and sultry dark garnet color. This wine shows a lot of life and dark fruit purity with black plum, blackberry, cassis and tarry prune. There is a delightful note of black pepper that is specific to this warm and sunny vintage. The fruit shows softer and richer concentration compared to past vintages and more pulpy density that gives this edition a bigger profile in terms of mouthfeel. Production is 75,000 bottles. San Leonardo is a wine made for long aging, but the nice thing about this vintage is that the bouquet remains quite accessible at this young age. Nevertheless, I’d still suggest keeping this bottle in your cellar so that it can calmly finish its evolution.
    VN9595 pts. - Vinous - Jul 2020
The 2015 San Leonardo is a classic in the making. The bouquet is wonderfully perfumed with peppery florals, mixing tart cherry and blueberry with white smoke, hints of graphite and shaved cedar. Silky textures race across a core of juicy acids and minerals, making for a ripe yet cool-toned and pleasurably tactile expression. Youthful tannins slowly make themselves known toward the close. Long, structured and spicy, the 2015 finishes with a crescendo of tart blue and black fruits, tapering off to notes of subtly sweet spice. As good as this is today, it will only get better over time. That said, it doesn’t appear that this is going to shut down anytime in the immediate future, so it’s certainly worth checking on a bottle or two before forgetting the rest in your cellar.

    2015 / 750 ml. | Item#46626

    RP9797 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 29th Sep 2017
Blended of 60% Grenache, 30% Mourvèdre and 10% Syrah, the medium to deep garnet colored 2015 Cote a Cote has a wonderfully vibrant perfume of red roses, red cherries and cinnamon stick over nuances of mulberries, vanilla pod, garrigue, dried lavender and white pepper. Full-bodied, rich, concentrated and oh-so-decadent, it completely fills the palate with seductive kirsch and spicy layers, supported by firm yet velvety tannins and seamless freshness, finishing with epic length. Bravo!
    VN9595 pts. - Vinous - Jul 2017
Deep brilliant ruby. An assertively perfumed bouquet evokes fresh black and blue fruits, Moroccan spices, vanilla and smoky minerals, while a suave floral pastille accent builds in the glass. Deeply concentrated yet surprisingly lively on the palate, offering sweet black raspberry, boysenberry, spicecake and mocha flavors that unfold slowly, picking up licorice and vanilla notes on the back half. Shows outstanding clarity and thrust on a supple, strikingly long finish shaped by smooth, building tannins.

  6. Champagne Louis Roederer Rosé Vintage

    2015 / 750 ml. gift box | Item#57689

    RP9494 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 23rd Sep 2021
The 2015 Brut Vintage Rosé is generous and demonstrative, bursting with aromas of peach, orange and pear mingled with hints of red berries, fresh bread and ginger. Full-bodied, layered and vinous, it’s rich and enveloping, its textural attack segueing into an ample, fleshy core that’s girdled by bright acids and enlivened by a pillowy mousse. Long and expansive, it’s more generous and gourmand than its racier 2014 predecessor, but just as good.
    SP9393 pts. - Wine Spectator - Nov 15, 2021
Pure and pretty notes of wild strawberry and nectarine fruit are enriched by hints of marzipan, chalk and pickled ginger in this graceful rosé Champagne. Lithe and expressive, with a fine, lively mousse, this shows lovely balance and a creamy, mineral-laced finish. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Drink now through 2031. 1,054 cases imported. 8. Andrew Will Champoux Vineyard

    2015 / 750 ml. | Item#54334

    RP9797 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 29th Jun 2018
The 2015 Champoux Vineyard is stunning, busting from the glass with a precocious bouquet of ripe cherries, minty blackberries, violets and anise. On the palate, it’s full-bodied, layered and almost voluptuous, with velvety, melting tannins that frame a succulent core of beautifully delineated fruit. The finish is long and fragrant. Infinitely seductive and exquisitely balanced, I struggle to remember an Andrew Will Champoux that was quite this delicious straight out of the gates, yet the wine clearly has the potential to evolve for two decades. The 2015 is a blend of 51% Merlot, 32% Cabernet Franc, 12% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Petit Verdot.
    JD9696 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - April 5, 2018
The 2015 Champoux is a beauty. Concentrated, rich, full-bodied and layered, it offers a rocking nose of blackcurrants, graphite, lead pencil, iodine, and salty minerality. Ripe, rounded, and opulent, yet with good freshness and purity, it needs 3–4 years of bottle age and will keep for two decades. (Jeb Dunnuck)

  9. Château Lynch-Bages, Pauillac

    Grand Cru Classé
    2015 / 750 ml. | Item#47189

    VN9696 pts. - Vinous - Feb 2018
One of the finest Pauillacs of 2015, Lynch-Bages is rich, racy and voluptuous. A rush of dark red and purplish stone fruit, mint, new leather, spice and blood orange give the 2015 a very decidedly exotic character that is impossible to miss. Raspberry jam, mocha, new leather and expressive floral notes appear with time in the glass, rounding things out nicely. Even though the 2015 is quite forward and open at this stage, the wine has plenty of stuffing as well as the underlying structure to support many years of exceptional drinking. This is a stellar showing for Lynch-Bages.
    JS95+95–96 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Friday, April 1, 2016
Very classic styled Lynch with pretty ripe fruit and tannin balanced. Full body, firm and chewy tannins yet polished and refined. Alcohol and fruit balance are lower than other top years and give this wine freshness and energy.
    WE94+94–96 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 5/1/2016
This wine is sumptuous, ripe and generously fruity. It has a black core of dry plum skin and spice. The richness is topped by acidity, forming a contrast with the tannic core.
    SP9494 pts. - Wine Spectator - Mar 31, 2018
This has an ample core of plum, fig and blackberry compote flavors, underlined liberally with graphite and smoldering tobacco notes. Fleshy and focused, with ample grip through the juniper- and tar-accented finish. Well-built. Best from 2023 through 2038.
    RP93+93–95 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 27th Apr 2016
They 2015 Lynch Bages is a blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot that was picked from 23 September until 2 October, matured in 75% new oak. There is an overwhelming sense of purity on the nose: perfumed, almost floral blackberry, wild strawberry, graphite and cedar scents, unmistakably Pauillac in style. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grain tannin, a keen citrus thread that impart tension and ample freshness. Tasting this as the first wine of the day, it instantly refreshes the mouth and leaves it tingling with energy after it has departed. This is an excellent, top-grade Lynch Bages that deserves 8–10 years in bottle and then will offer three decade of pleasure, maybe more.

  10. Gen del Alma Gene

    2015 / 750 ml. | Item#46320

    RP9191 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 30th Dec 2016
Cropped from a cool and wet vintage, the 2015 Gene is a blend of 50% Malbec with 20% each Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc plus 10% Merlot from Gualtallary that aims to show the gentler side of the appellation, fresh with a soft texture. The grapes come from seven-year-old vines from Tupungato Winelands. The Malbec fermented in cement vats and the other grapes in amphorae and then matured in well-seasoned, neutral barriques for some ten months. This has a more commercial, accessible profile, though for the wider audience but keeping the electricity and minerality from Gualtallary. There is less oak than in previous vintages; the barrels are older and they are fine-tuning the process. Great balance between the more commercial and terroir side. 15,000 bottles were filled in May 2016.

  11. Rhous Winery Dry White Wine

    2015 / 750 ml. | Item#44188

    RP9090 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 27th Apr 2016
The 2015 Estate White is an unoaked blend of 80% Muscat of Spina and 20% Vidiano. Dry, it comes in at just 12% alcohol. This has all that Muscat personality and a somewhat herbaceous nuance. A perfect summer white, it is fresh, friendly and crisp, with tons of flavor on the nice finish. This doesn’t have quite the roundness or depth of the "Skipper" white, also reviewed, but it has far more zest and character. They both do what they should rather well. This is a nice bargain if, of course, you like wines with some of that grass and zing. It should hold for a couple of years, at least, but the freshness here is a key selling point that you won’t likely want to lose. Drink it young for best results; it may not stay at peak for all of its useful life.
    WE8888 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 11/1/2016
This innovative Cretan producer hits the mark with this pretty, fragrant white blend including the island’s hallmark white, Vidiano. The nose is full of flowers, white peach fruit and rip citrus, while on the palate, an interplay of exotic fruit and minerality keep the wine focused but friendly. A great wine for spicy Indian cuisine or sushi.

  12. Abreu Capella

    Napa Valley Red Wine
    2015 / 750 ml. | Item#53308

    JD9898 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - January 31, 2019
One rocking wine, the 2015 Cappella is a powerful, rich effort that has badass levels of black, black fruits, graphite, licorice, and crushed rocks. From a site on the west side of St. Helena and a blend of 68% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Cabernet Franc, and 13% Petit Verdot, it has a layered, multi-dimensional, stacked profile and is just loaded with glycerin and opulence. Feel free to drink this thriller any time over the coming 3 decades or more. (Jeb Dunnuck)
    RP96+96–100 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 28th Oct 2016
The 2015 Cappella should be close to perfection when it is finally released in several years. Inky bluish/purple to the rim, with blackberry, chocolate, graphite, barbecue smoke and forest floor notes, this incredibly rich, pure, structured and powerful wine is multi-dimensional, with huge levels of fruit and glycerin. To say it is a tour de force is almost an understatement. It should have 30–50 years of longevity.
    VN9696 pts. - Vinous - Dec 2018
The 2015 Cappella is dark, racy and voluptuous. Black cherry, plum, chocolate, licorice and dark spice are pushed forward in a sumptuous, flamboyant wine. Today, the 2015 Cappella is decidedly somber and more inward than I have seen it in the past. Plush fruit and silky tannins add to the wine’s considerable appeal, and there is plenty of that.

    2015 / 750 ml. | Item#53309

    RP98+98–100 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 28th Oct 2016
Abreu is now calling his vineyard on Howell Mountain (a tract of 33 acres with 15 planted) Las Posadas, after the road high on the mountain that seems to be the Fifth Avenue of Howell Mountain vineyard sites. The seamless 2015 Las Posadas Proprietary Red nearly redefines opulence, extravagance, and intensity in its haute couture style. A candidate for perfection, the wine has notes of fruitcake, licorice, black truffle, forest floor, spring flowers, and black fruits that literally soar from the glass and continue across the palate with a cascade of earthly delights. This is a magnificent, almost chillingly perfect wine that has to be tasted to be experienced.
    JD9898 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - January 31, 2019
The 2015 Las Posadas comes from an estate vineyard on Howell Mountain that lies at 2,000 feet in elevation, above the fog line. This singular effort has a flamboyant, mineral-laced bouquet of black and blue fruits, forest floor, camphor, chocolate, and exotic flowers, and is an incredible expression of this mountain terroir. With great, great intensity, beautiful purity of fruit, and again, this savory, mineral-driven character, it has enough tannins to warrant 2–4 years of bottle age and will keep for 4–5 decades. This cuvée is 38% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Cabernet Franc, 14% Petit Verdot, and the rest Merlot and Malbec. (Jeb Dunnuck)
    VN9797 pts. - Vinous - Dec 2018
The 2015 Las Posadas is dark, sensual and totally inviting. Plush fruit and silky tannins push the black plum and blackberry fruit forward. Deep and resonant on the palate, the 2015 exudes class from start to finish. Like the rest of the other Abreu 2015s, the Posadas will drink well upon release. Hints of lavender and spice meld into the pliant, inviting finish. There is so much to like here.

    2015 / 750 ml. | Item#46312

    RP96+96–100 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 28th Oct 2016
The 2015 Sugarloaf Mountain Proprietary Red that began as an equal-part blend of Cabernet Franc and Merlot seems to be an equal follow-up to the perfect 2014. Incredible aromatics of spring flowers and blue and black fruits are followed by a long, deep, skyscraper-like wine with explosive fruit intensity, loads of glycerin and a wonderfully, fleshy, succulent mouthfeel, which is certainly a characteristic of the top 2015s. This should drink nicely for 15–20 years.
    VN9595 pts. - Vinous - Jan 2018
The 2015 Proprietary Red Wine Sugarloaf Mountain is laced with the essence of ripe red cherry, plum, sage, wild flowers and savory herbs are all beautifully delineated. Voluptuous and racy to the core, the 2015 is a classic Russell Bevan wine built on layers of flavor and textural intensity.

  15. Caprili Brunello di Montalcino Riserva AdAlberto

    2015 / 750 ml. | Item#54343

    RP96+96+ pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 30th Nov 2020
Tasted from an unfinished shiner bottle, the Caprili 2015 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva AdAlberto is a single-vineyard expression that has drawn its fruit from the same site since 2010. The wine is dedicated to the paternal figure Alberto Bartolomei (grandfather to the current owners) who planted these vines in 1965. You can definitely taste the age and authentic character of those plants in the concentration and richness of the fruit, presented here with the abundance that only the 2015 vintage affords. The wine is smooth and enduring, and the tannins just need a few more years of bottle age. This is a small-production wine with just 4,000 bottles made.
    VN9595 pts. - Vinous - Nov 2020
The 2015 Brunello di Montalcino Ad Alberto Riserva from Caprili harnesses the ripeness of the vintage and melds it beautifully with savory earth tones. There are masses of dark florals and sweet herbs, as mineral-laced wild berry fruits come forward. With further coaxing notes of licorice, brown spice and baker’s chocolate evolve in the glass - does it ever end? It’s silky and pliant, providing an initial burst of ripe dark berries before giving way to a mix of sour citrus and fine tannins. Its structure is formidable, yet so are its primary fruits, coming across as perfectly balanced and full of potential.
