It is polished and deep with some of the fruit nuances you can expect of this vintage. However, the overall effect is balanced and smooth with plenty of fruity power, weight and length. VN9191 pts. - Vinous - Jan 2022 The 2020 Rosso di Montalcino wafts up with dusty rose, strawberries and hints of black tea. It’s soft in feel, with a twang of tangerine that gives way to tart cherries and inner cinnamon and clove. This remains nicely energetic while coming across as potent, and it lingers incredibly long. Caparzo found an excellent balance in 2020, and I love the exotic nuances found within. Very nice. (Eric Guido)

There is a generous display of cherry, cassis and wild plum. On second nose, this easy and straightforward Tuscan blend reveals hints of spice, cardamon and polished river stone. In a hot vintage like this, the wine comes together nicely and rather effortlessly.
