This washes across the palate with an intense wave of fleshy ripe fruits, all balanced by a salty flourish of minerality and tantalizing acidity. The 2021 finishes with grippy concentration yet remains fresh, with blue- and purple-toned inner florals that linger. The Da-di is a varietal Sangiovese that’s refined in amphora, where about one-third of the grapes are left in whole clusters through fermentation. This is an incredibly fun wine to taste. VN9292 pts. - Vinous - Feb 2023 The 2018 Nobile di Montepulciano is pretty and understated in the glass, wafting up with a mix of black currants, savory herbs and worn leather hints. This is round with a balanced inner sweetness, displaying mineral-tinged wild berry fruit and nuances of confectionary spice. The 2018 leaves only a gentle coating of fine tannins while finishing with citrus nuances and a hint of hard red candies. The Avignonesi style lent quite well to this warm and rainy vintage; as a result, they created a very delicate yet likable Nobile. (Eric Guido)

In 2017, the fruit profile leans more into the red fruit end of the spectrum. The warm, dry year yielded a Geremia that is unusually open. I doubt too many of the estate’s fans will have a problem with that given how long these wines usually take to open. Today, the 2017 Geremia is a total pleasure bomb. Don’t miss it. (Antonio Galloni)

This Riserva reveals delineated tones of cherry and dark berry with crushed limestone, blue flowers and some of the wild herbs and bramble that I often recognize in wines from this corner of Tuscany.
