  4. Cune Rioja Made with Organic Grapes

    2020 / 750 ml. | Item#58037

    RP9191 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 14th Jul 2022
The certified organic red 2020 Cune Organic is aromatic, expressive and fruit-driven but with depth and complexity. They liked the Garnacha in 2020, which represents no less than 60% of the blend, complemented by 30% Tempranillo and 10% Graciano. The wine is fresh and has a profile similar to the young and juicy Crianza, with good ripeness and a solid palate. It matured in second use 300-liter oak barrels for six months. Urrutia mentioned cheerful and barbecue when talking about this wine. Very good at that. 40,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in March 2022. (Luis Gutiérrez)
    VN8989 pts. - Vinous - Apr 2021
Deep, lurid ruby. Ripe black and blue fruits, candied flowers and a hint of licorice on the perfumed nose. Sappy and velvety in texture, offering bitter cherry and blueberry flavors that turn sweeter with air. Finishes long and smooth, with repeating spiciness, a hint of cola and round, even tannins. (Josh Raynolds)

  9. Laya Red Blend

    2021 / 750 ml. | Item#59607

    RP9090 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 29th Apr 2022
The 2021 Laya was produced with 70% Garnacha Tintorera and 30% Monastrell, looking for a fruit-driven and easy to drink red with 14.5% alcohol, ripe fruit and a soft texture. 2021 was warmer than the average but with some cold spells, especially the one in January called Filomena that brought lots of snow, despite which, it was also a dry year and they got up to 40% less grapes. This fermented in stainless steel vats with neutral yeasts, with malolactic in barrel, where the wine matured for four months. This shows some toasty oak, but it might be because it’s too young and very recently bottled. But vintages seem to take oak differently; they believe this will show as integrated as the 2020. Time will tell. In any case, it’s a wine for the short term, and it’s very good for what it is. 360,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in March 2022. (Luis Gutiérrez)

Rich, deep and fruity, saturated with morello cherries, sour plums, grilled Mediterranean herbs and spices. Quite fruity and generous palate with a certain amount of sweetness that makes it flattering, easy and approachable. Soft and smooth. Garnacha tintorera and monastrell. Vegan. Drink now.

    JS9090 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Friday, September 9, 2022
Rich and fruity, but also deep, with ripe blackberries, figs, spice and dark chocolate on the nose. Just a hint of dried fruit here. This is restrainedly generous with a medium to full body, showing creamy tannins and a flavorful finish. A very solid monastrell. From organically grown grapes. Vegan. Drink now.

  15. Atance Bobal

    2020 / 750 ml. | Item#60205

    RP91+91+ pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 29th Apr 2022
The 2020 ATANCE, pure Bobal from vines planted in 1975, fermented in 10,000-liter stainless steel tanks with indigenous yeasts at controlled temperature for a week and had a short maceration. The wine matured in 8,000-liter French oak vats for three months. This feels really harmonious, serious, nuanced and elegant, with subtle aromas and great balance and length. 45,025 bottles produced. It was bottled in April 2021. (Luis Gutiérrez)
